제 3과......淡(담)......집착과 욕심이 없음......第339事

  Outcome 3 : Dam(淡,담)... Detachment / Free from attachment and greed... Article 339. 

근본이 집착이 없고 욕심이 없으면 福(복)이 응하게 된다.

  If a person′s foundation is free from attachment and greed,

  good fortune(福,복) naturally follows.

사람이 결함이 없어져 덕을 이루니 천하의 한 사람도 성품을 잃는 일이 없고
백성이 법을 어기는 일이 하나도 없어 나라의 근본이 밝게 드러나며

인간의 情(정)에 절실하게 부합하며 물자를 생산하는 힘을 두루 보호하여
즐거움을 뭇사람들과 함께 취하니 다 함께 모범으로 삼는다.

  As individuals shed their flaws and cultivate virtue, not a single person under heaven losws

 their true nature, and not a single citizen breaks the lllaw. 

 Thus, the fundamental base of the nation is clearly revealed,

  deeply aligning with human affection and sentiment(情,정).

  By protecting the capacity to produce resources all around and sharing joy with all people,

  this becomes an exemplary model for everyone to follow.

體淡則福應이니 全人成德하여 (체담즉복응이니 전인성덕하여)

  When one′s inner essence is detached and pure, good fortune naturally responds,

  enabling all people to cultivate and complete their virtue.

天下에 無一人失性하며 百姓이 無一事違法이라 (천하에 무일인실성하며 백성이 무일사위법이라)

  Under heaven, not a single person strays from their true nature,

  and among the populace, not a single act violates the law.

明徵國體하며 切合人情하며 周護物力하여  (명징국체하며 절합인정하며 주호물력하여)

  This clearly manifests the fundamental dignity of the state,

   deeply accords with human affection, thoroughly safeguards the world′s resources,

樂取與衆으로 同爲準式이니라. (락취여중으로 동위준식이니라.)

  and shsres joy with the masses―establishing a standard model for all to follow together.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

제 399事(사)에서 體(체)는 국가를 통솔하는 자를 의미한다.

  In Item No. 399, "Essence / Leader(體,체)" signifies the person who governs a nation.

즉 어느 집단이든 최고 위에 있는 사람이 집착과 욕심이 없어야
다른 사람들도 이에 응하여 성품을 잃거나 법을 어기는 사람이 없어진다는 것이다.

  In other words, the person at the highest position of any group must be free from

  attachment and greed so that others respond accordingly,

  ensuring no one loses their true nature or violates the law.

여기서 말하는 집착과 욕심은 곧 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)이다.

  The attachment and greed mentioned here represent Chaos(混沌,혼돈).

混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)은 모든 일에 시작과 끝을 만드는 주체이다.

  Chaos is the entity that creates the beginning and the end of all matters.

본 경전은 모든 일에서 시작과 끝을 제거하는 진리이므로
混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)인 집착과 욕심을 제거하는 것은 가장 기본적인 내용이다.

  Since this scripture embodies the truth that removes the beginning and theend from all things,

  eliminating attachment and greed―which constitute Chaos ―is its most fundamental core.

그렇다고 집착과 욕심을 제거한 상태가 무위도식하는 상태라는 것은 절대로 아니다.

  However, a state free from attachment and greed by no means implies living in idle loafing.

모든 일일의 진행을 방해하는 오차를 제거하여 그 일을 가장 효율적으로 수행한다는 의미가
본 경전에서 말하는 집착과 욕심을 끊으라는 말이다.

  To sever attachment and greed, as means to eliminate the errors that hinder daily progress,

  thereby carrying out tasks in the most efficient manner.

다시 말하면 집착과 욕심이야말로 인간의 모든 일을 비효율적으로 만들어
결국은 그 일의 움직인을 멈춤으로 몰고 가는 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)이라는 말이다.

  In short, attachment and greed are the vwry Chaos that renders all human endeavors inefficient,

  ultimately driving their progress to a complete standstill.
