158과 오늘 나는 내가 받는 대로 주는 것을 배운다.

1 무엇이 그대에게 주어졌습니까? 사랑Love으로부터 창조되었기에 그대는 마음이며 마음Mind과 순수한 마음 안에서 영원히 죄없고 전혀 두렵지도 않다는 지식이 주어졌습니다. 그대는 근원Source을 떠나지 않았고 창조된 대로 남아있습니다. 이것이 잃을 수 없는 지식으로서 주어졌습니다. 그것은 또한 모든 생명체에게 주어졌습니다. 왜냐하면 그 지식에 의해서만 모든 생명체는 살아가기 때문입니다.

2 그대는 이 모든 것을 받았습니다. 그것을 받지 않고 세상을 걷는 이는 없습니다. 그대가 주는 것은 이 지식이 아닙니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 창조가 주었던 것이기 때문입니다. 이 모든 것은 배울 수 없습니다. 그러면 오늘 그대가 주려고 배우는 것이 무엇입니까? 우리의 어제의 수업은 텍스트 앞부분에 있는 어떤 주제를 환기시킵니다. 경험은 비전이 할 수 있는 방식으로 직접적으로 공유될 수 없습니다. 아버지Father와 아들Son이 하나One라는 계시는 시간이 지나면 모든 마음에 올 것입니다. 그러나 그 시간은 마음 그 자체에 의해서 결정되며 가르쳐지지 않습니다.

3 그 시간은 이미 정해져 있습니다. 그것은 무척이나 무작위적으로 보입니다. 그러나 우연히 어떤 이가 길을 따라서 걷는 발걸음은 없습니다. 비록 그가 그것에 착수하지는 않았지만 그것은 이미 그에 의해서 내딛어진 것입니다. 왜냐하면 시간은 오직 한 방향으로만 흐르는 것처럼 보이기 때문입니다. 우리는 단지 끝난 여행을 하는 것일뿐입니다. 그러나 그것은 여전히 우리에게 알려지지 않은 어떤 미래를 가지고 있는 듯 보입니다.

4 시간은 속임수입니다. 교묘한 재간으로 마술처럼 그림들이 왔다 갔다 하는 거대한 환상입니다. 그러나 겉모습 뒤에 변치않는 어떤 계획이 있습니다. 대본이 쓰여 있습니다. 경험이 의심을 끝내려 올 때가 정해져 있습니다. 왜냐하면 우리는 오직 시간이 끝난 지점에서 여행을 보기 때문이며 여행을 되돌아보고 다시 한 번 더 여행을 하는 것을 상상하며 지나간 것을 마음속으로 복습하기 때문입니다.

6 여기에 의심의 세상과 무형의 그림자의 연결이 있습니다. 여기에 용서와 사랑에 의해서 성스럽게 만들어진 세상 안의 고요한 장소가 있습니다. 여기에서 모든 갈등은 타협이 됩니다. 왜냐하면 여기에서 여행이 끝나기 때문입니다. 배워지지 않고 가르쳐지지 않으며 보이지 않는 경험이 그저 그곳에 있습니다. 이것은 우리의 목표를 넘어섭니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 완수될 필요가 있는 것을 초월하기 때문입니다. 우리의 관심은 그리스도Christ의 비전입니다. 이것을 우리는 얻을 수 있습니다.

9 그러므로 그의 죄는 그에게서 용서되었습니다. 왜냐하면 그리스도Christ는 그 죄 모두를 간과할 힘을 가진 비전을 가졌기 때문입니다. 그리스도Christ의 용서 안에서 죄는 사라졌습니다. 그에 의해서 보이지 않기 때문에 죄는 그저 사라집니다. 왜냐하면 죄를 넘어서 있는 성스러움에 대한 비전이 죄의 장소를 차지하러 오기 때문입니다. 죄가 어떤 형태를 띠는지 얼마나 크게 보이는지 죄에 의해서 누가 상처를 받은 것처럼 보이는지는 문제가 되지 않습니다. 죄는 더 이상 없습니다. 모든 결과는 죄와 함께 사라졌고 취소되었고 결코 행해지지 않았습니다.

10 그러므로 그대가 받는 대로 주는 것을 그대는 배웁니다. 그러므로 그리스도Christ의 비전은 또한 그대를 바라봅니다. 형제 안에서 오직 자신을 본다는 것을 기억한다면 이 교훈은 배우기에 어렵지 않습니다. 형제가 죄 가운데 길을 잃었다면 그대도 또한 그렇습니다. 그에게서 빛을 본다면 그대의 죄는 자신에 의해서 용서받습니다. 오늘 만나는 각각의 형제는 그리스도Christ의 비전을 그대 위에 비추고 신God의 평화를 제공할 또 다른 기회를 줍니다.

11 언제 계시가 올지는 중요치 않습니다. 그것은 시간의 문제가 아니기 때문입니다. 그러나 시간은 여전히 줄 하나의 선물이 있으며 그 선물 안에 보이지 않는 성스러움을 공유하는 이미지가 매우 정확하게 반영되어 있고 불멸의 사랑Love으로 그 모습이 빛납니다. 오늘 우리는 그리스도Christ의 눈을 가지고 보는 것을 연습합니다. 그리고 우리가 주는 성스러운 선물에 의해서 그리스도Christ의 비전은 또한 우리 자신을 봅니다.

Lesson 158 Today I learn to give as I receive.

1 What has been given you? The knowledge that you are a mind, in Mind and purely mind, sinless forever, wholly unafraid because you were created out of Love. Nor have you left your Source, remaining as you were created. This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose. It was given as well to every living thing, for by that knowledge only does it live.

2 You have received all this. No one who walks the world but has received it. It is not this knowledge which you give, for that is what creation gave. All this cannot be learned. What, then, are you to learn to give today? Our lesson yesterday evoked a theme found early in the text. Experience cannot be shared directly in the way that vision can. The revelation that the Father and the Son are one will come in time to every mind. Yet is that time determined by the mind itself, not taught.

3 The time is set already. It appears to be quite arbitrary. Yet there is no step along the road that anyone takes but by chance. It has already been taken by him, although he has not yet embarked on it. For time but seems to go in one direction. We but undertake a journey that is over. Yet it seems to have a future still unknown to us.

4 Time is a trick-a sleight of hand, a vast illusion in which figures come and go as if by magic. Yet there is a plan behind appearances which does not change. The script is written. When experience will come to end your doubting has been set. For we but see the journey from the point at which it ended, looking back on it, imagining we make it once again; reviewing mentally what has gone by.

5 A teacher does not give experience because he did not learn it. It revealed itself to him at its appointed time. But vision is his gift. This he can give directly, for Christ's knowledge is not lost because He has a vision He can give to anyone who asks. The Father's Will and His are joined in knowledge. Yet there is a vision which the Holy Spirit sees because the mind of beholds it too.

6 Here is the joining of the world of doubt and shadows made with the intangible. Here is a quiet place within the world made holy by forgiveness and by love. Here are all contradictions reconciled, for here the journey ends. Experience, unlearned, untaught, unseen, is merely there. This is beyond our goal, for it transcends what needs to be accomplished. Our concern is with Christ's vision. This we can attain.

7 Christ's vision has one law. It does not look upon a body and mistake it for the Son whom God created. It beholds a light beyond the body, an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin. It sees no separation. And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings, and all events without the slightest fading of the light it sees.

8 This can be taught and must be taught by all who would achieve it. It requires but the recognition that the world cannot give anything that faintly can compare with this in value; nor set up a goal which does not merely disappear when this has been perceived. And this you give today-see no one as a body. Greet him as the Son of God he is, acknowledging that he is one with you in holiness.

9 Thus are his sins forgiven him, for Christ has vision which has power to overlook them all. In His forgiveness, they are gone. Unseen by One, they merely disappear because a vision of the holiness which lies beyond them comes to take their place. It matters not what form they took nor how enormous they appeared to be nor who seemed to be hurt by them. They are no more, and all effects they seemed to have are gone with them, undone and never to be done.

10Thus do you learn to give as you receive. And thus Christ's vision looks on you as well. This lesson is not difficult to learn if you remember in your brother you but see yourself. If he be lost in sin so must you be; if you see light in him your sins have been forgiven by yourself. Each brother whom you meet today provides another chance to let Christ's vision shine on you and offer you the peace of God.

11 It matters not when revelation comes, for that is not of time. Yet time has still one gift to give in which true knowledge is reflected in a way so accurate its image shares its unseen holiness; its likeness shines with its immortal love. We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today. And by the holy gifts we give, Christ's vision looks upon ourselves as well.
