Free eye examinations for AA Members

We are pleased to announce a new benefit for AA Members. You’re now entitled to a free eye examination at Specsavers (valued at $60), once every two years.  

One driver in five is estimated to have a vision defect which may affect driving performance. Optometrists recommend a regular eye examination every two years. This new AA Member benefit enables you to check your eye health at no cost with a 30 minute eye examination, performed by a qualified optometrist.

An eye examination at Specsavers:

• Finds out about you and your vision needs
• Analyses your current eyewear (if worn)
• Measures your vision and how your eyes focus
• Checks that your eyes are healthy, inside and out, and checks for diseases such as cataract and glaucoma
• If necessary, determines the prescription that gives you the clearest, most comfortable vision possible
• Reviews the examination's findings with you
• Makes recommendations tailored to your personal needs

We hope this new Member benefit will help to improve the eye health and wellbeing of our Members and help improve safety on New Zealand roads.
