Rejoice in the hope of the glory of God
“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2)
When the Holy Spirit comes into us, all the characters, events, and themes of the Bible become the words given to me.
This is because the Law and the Old and New Testaments of the prophets are all united in Christ and are headed toward the Omega Point.
Therefore, we must not forget that all the forefathers of faith in the Old Testament foresaw and believed in the reality of faith, that is, that the coming Christ would be glorified. (1 Peter 1:11)
However, Israel was cut off from the olive tree and we, the wild olive tree, were grafted in (Romans 11:17), and we believed in Christ as the Lord and were united in his death, and we were transferred from Adam, the representative of sin and death, into Christ through the cross of Christ, and so we obtained righteousness (Romans 4:25) and have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
The kingdom of God first obtains righteousness in the Holy Spirit, then obtains peace in becoming one with God the Father in Christ, and then obtains joy. (Romans 14:17)
However, if you believe in Jesus, believe in the resurrection of Jesus, and believe in your future resurrection, then you will consider the words, “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom 3:10), as your current identity.
That is why a certain seminary dean said something outrageous in his graduation sermon, “We are sinners who have been justified.”
Are the students who graduated from that seminary sinners? Are they righteous people who have been justified? You cannot be justified just by believing in Jesus.
You are justified by faith in Christ as Lord, who was crucified for our sins and rose again for our righteousness. (Rom 4:25)
That is why Calvin said that if Christ is not in us, the effectiveness of what He did on earth will not be manifested in us.
When Christ is in us, the effectiveness of his blood is constantly revealed, and the grace of his atonement on the cross, the power of his resurrection and life, his righteousness, holiness, glory, light, life, and love are all revealed in us.
Establishing the meaning of Pentecost is an urgent task for the modern church.
Heaven and earth are connected through the coming of the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sins through Jesus, and the Emmanuel event through Christ.
If we look for the resurrection of Jesus from the outside, the words ‘all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23) will become a common recognition among all believers.
They will say, “We are sinners, so we must always repent. We will only see the glory of God after death.”
In the law, there is both territorialism and personalism.
Territorialism means that in Korea, we must follow Korean law, and personalism means that Koreans must follow Korean law.
For example, euthanasia is not illegal in Switzerland.
That is why some people go to Switzerland and die.
However, if they die, it is okay, but if they return to Korea without dying, they will be punished.
That is personalism.
The sin and righteousness of the Bible are territorialism.
If you are in Adam, you are a slave to sin, death, and curses, but if you believe and obey the grace of the atonement of Christ's cross and return into Christ, you become a slave to righteousness, life, and blessings.
Nevertheless, the sense of debt due to Adam's original sin remains for a long time, so it takes a long time to become a slave to righteousness, life, and blessings in Christ.
Through the bread of tribulation and the cup of suffering, we learn the practice of godliness, not living according to the flesh but living according to the spirit, and listen to and embody the word of God with patience. When our hearts are purified, we can finally boldly approach the throne of God's grace and rejoice in the hope of His glory (Romans 5:3-4).
As we study the Bible, we repeatedly emphasize the principle of the atonement that was accomplished once and for all between Adam and Christ through the message of Christ's cross, in order to create a constitution in which the anointing of the Holy Spirit can work.
This is because the Holy Spirit works within us to repair our inner being, and then we eat and drink the bread and the cup, becoming one bread, one body and one spirit with Christ according to the truth, thereby becoming closer to the throne of God's grace.
Some people find this boring, but it can't be helped.
However, there is no royal road better than repeating the truth.
The equipment of the temple is simple, but if we properly follow the laws and regulations, we will see the glory of God in the Most Holy Place.
Therefore, if we become one through the blood of the Lord, become peace through the cross, embody the grace of redemption of becoming one with Christ in the Holy Spirit, and approach God with the truth, we will reach the throne of God.
The joy of the glory is incomparable to anything in this world.
And just as the power of the earth is in proportion to the distance from the throne, the power of heaven is greater the closer it is to the throne of grace, and only then the great one does it serve the lesser.
The one who has seen the glory of God is the great one.
