느헤미야4장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 느헤미야4장

1. 그러나 산발랏이 우리가 성벽을 건축하였다는 것을 듣고 노하여 크게 분개하고 유대인들을 조롱하며

But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

2. 자기 형제들과 사마리아의 군대 앞에서 말하여 이르되, 이 미약한 유대인들이 무슨 일을 하는가? 그들이 스스로를 견고하게 하려는가? 희생물을 드리려는가? 하루에 일을 끝내려는가? 불탄 쓰레기 더미에서 돌들을 꺼내어 되살리려는가? 하였더라.

And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? 

3. 이제 암몬 족속 도비야는 그 곁에 섰다가 이르되, 여우가 올라가서 그들이 건축하는 그것 즉 그들의 돌 성벽을 무너뜨리리라, 하였더라.

Now Tobiah the Ammonite [was] by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

4. 오 우리 [하나님]이여, 들으시옵소서. 우리가 멸시를 받나이다. 그들이 모욕하는 것을 그들의 머리 위로 돌리시며 그들을 넘겨주사 포로로 잡혀가는 땅에서 탈취물이 되게 하시고

Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: 

5. 그들의 불법을 덮어 두지 마시며 주 앞에서 그들의 죄를 지우지 마옵소서. 그들이 건축자들 앞에서 주의 분노를 일으켰나이다.

And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked [thee] to anger before the builders.

6. 이와 같이 우리가 성벽을 건축하여 모든 성벽이 함께 연결되고 높이가 그것의 절반에 미쳤으니 이는 백성에게 일하고자 하는 생각이 있었기 때문이더라.

So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

7. 그러나 산발랏과 도비야와 아라비아 사람들과 암몬 족속과 아스돗 사람들이 예루살렘 성벽이 세워지고 그 무너진 곳이 메워지기 시작한다는 것을 듣고는 그때에 심히 분노하여

But it came to pass, [that] when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, [and] that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, 

8. 그들이 다 함께 음모를 꾸미고 가서 예루살렘과 싸우고 그 일을 방해하기로 하였더라.

And conspired all of them together to come [and] to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it. 

9. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리가 우리 [하나님]께 기도하며 그들로 인하여 밤낮으로 그들을 향해 파수꾼을 세웠는데

Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

10. 유다는 이르기를, 짐 나르는 자들의 힘이 쇠하였고 쓰레기는 아직도 많으므로 우리가 성벽을 건축할 수 없다, 하고

And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and [there is] much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

11. 우리의 대적들은 이르기를, 우리가 그들 한가운데로 들어가 그들을 죽이고 그 일을 그치게 할 때까지 그들이 알지도 못하고 보지도 못하리라, 하니라.

And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

12. 그 대적들 곁에 거하던 유대인들이 와서 열 번이나 우리에게 이르기를, 너희가 어디서 떠나 우리에게 돌아오려고 하든지 그 모든 곳에서 그들이 너희를 덮치리라, 하니라.

And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us [they will be upon you]. 

13. 그러므로 내가 성벽 뒤 낮은 곳과 높은 곳에 백성을 세우되 곧 내가 그들의 가족대로 그들의 칼과 창과 활을 가진 채 서게 하고

Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, [and] on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows. 

14. 내가 살펴본 뒤에 일어나 귀족들과 치리자들과 백성의 남은 자들에게 이르기를, 너희는 그들을 두려워하지 말며 위대하시고 두려우신 [주]를 기억하고 너희 형제와 아들딸과 아내와 집을 위해 싸우라, 하였노라.

And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, [which is] great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

15. 그 일이 우리에게 알려졌다는 것을 우리의 원수들이 들으니라. [하나님]께서 그들의 계략을 허사로 만드셨으므로 우리가 다 성벽으로 돌아와 각각 자기 일을 하였는데

And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

16. 그때로부터 내 종들의 절반은 그 공사에서 일하고 그들의 다른 절반은 갑옷을 입고 창과 방패와 활을 가졌으며 치리자들은 유다의 온 집 뒤에 있었고

And it came to pass from that time forth, [that] the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers [were] behind all the house of Judah.

17. 성벽을 건축하는 자들과 짐 나르는 자들은 짐 지는 자들과 더불어 각각 한 손으로는 공사에서 일을 하며 다른 손에는 병기를 잡았으니

They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, [every one] with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other [hand] held a weapon.

18. 건축자들이 각각 자기 옆에 칼을 찬 채 그렇게 건축하였고 나팔 부는 자는 내 곁에 있었노라.

For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and [so] builded. And he that sounded the trumpet [was] by me. 

19. 내가 귀족들과 치리자들과 백성의 남은 자들에게 이르기를, 이 공사는 크고 광대하여 우리가 성벽 위에서 서로 멀리 떨어져 있으니

And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work [is] great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.

20. 그러므로 너희가 어디서든지 나팔 소리를 듣거든 거기로 모여서 우리에게로 나아오라. 우리 [하나님]께서 우리를 위하여 싸우시리라, 하였노라.

In what place [therefore] ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.

21. 이와 같이 우리가 이 공사에서 수고하였는데 그들의 절반은 동틀 때부터 별이 보일 때까지 창을 잡았으며

So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.

22. 마찬가지로 그때에 내가 백성에게 이르기를, 모든 사람은 자기 종과 함께 예루살렘 안에 머물라, 하였으니 이것은 그들이 밤에는 우리를 위해 파수를 보게 하고 낮에는 수고하게 하려 함이었노라.

Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.

23. 이처럼 나나 내 형제나 내 종이나 나를 따라 파수하는 사람들이나 우리 가운데 어느 누구도 각 사람이 빨려고 옷을 벗는 경우 외에는 옷을 벗지 아니하였노라.

So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, [saving that] every one put them off for washing.
