느헤미야5장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 느헤미야5장

1. 백성과 그들의 아내들이 자기 형제 유대인들을 향해 크게 부르짖었으니

And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

2. 이는 몇 사람이 말하기를, 우리와 우리 아들딸들이 많은즉 우리가 그들을 위하여 곡식을 취해 먹고 살아야 하겠다, 하였기 때문이더라.

For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, [are] many: therefore we take up corn [for them], that we may eat, and live.

3. 또한 어떤 이들은 말하기를, 우리가 우리의 밭과 포도원과 집을 담보 잡히고 흉년으로 인해 곡식을 사야 하겠다, 하고

[Some] also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

4. 또 몇 사람은 말하기를, 우리는 왕의 세금을 바치려고 우리의 밭과 포도원을 맡기고 돈을 빌렸도다.

There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the kings tribute, [and that upon] our lands and vineyards.

5. 그러나 이제 우리 육체도 우리 형제의 육체와 같고 우리 자녀들도 그들의 자녀들과 같거늘, 보라, 우리가 우리 아들딸들을 속박으로 얽어매어 종이 되게 하는도다. 우리 딸들 가운데 몇 사람이 벌써 속박되었으나 다른 사람들이 우리 밭과 포도원을 차지하였으므로 그들을 속량할 힘이 우리에게 없도다, 하였더라.

Yet now our flesh [is] as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and [some] of our daughters are brought unto bondage [already]: neither [is it] in our power [to redeem them]; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

6. 내가 그들의 부르짖음과 이런 말을 듣고 크게 분노하여

And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

7. 그때에 스스로 깊이 생각하고 귀족들과 치리자들을 꾸짖으며 그들에게 이르되, 너희가 각각 자기 형제에게서 이자를 취하는도다, 하고 큰 집회를 열어 그들을 대적하며

Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them. 

8. 그들에게 이르되, 우리는 우리의 힘을 다하여 이교도들에게 팔린 우리 형제 유대인들을 속량하였거늘 너희는 심지어 너희 형제를 팔고자 하느냐? 혹은 그들을 우리에게 팔아야 하겠느냐? 하매 그때에 그들이 잠잠하여 아무도 대답하지 아니하기에

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing [to answer].

9. 내가 또 이르되, 너희가 행하는 바가 좋지 못하도다. 우리의 원수 이교도들이 모욕하므로 너희가 마땅히 우리 [하나님]을 두려워하며 걸어야 하지 아니하겠느냐?

Also I said, It [is] not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

10. 나와 내 형제와 내 종들도 마찬가지로 돈과 곡식을 그들에게서 취할 수 있노라. 청하건대 우리가 이자 받는 이 일을 그치자.

I likewise, [and] my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.

11. 청하건대 이 날에 그들의 땅과 포도원과 올리브 밭과 집과 또 너희가 그들에게서 취하는 돈이나 곡식이나 포도즙이나 기름의 백분의 일을 그들에게 돌려보내라, 하였더니

Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth [part] of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.

12. 그때에 그들이 이르기를, 우리가 그것들을 돌려보내고 그것들 중에서 아무것도 요구하지 아니하리이다. 이렇게 우리가 당신이 말하는 대로 하리이다, 하기에 그때에 내가 제사장들을 불러 그들이 이 약속대로 행하겠다는 맹세를 하게 하고

Then said they, We will restore [them], and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

13. 또 내가 내 무릎을 흔들며 이르기를, 이 약속을 행하지 아니하는 모든 자는 [하나님]이 또한 이와 같이 그의 집과 그의 일에서 그를 흔들어 버리실 것이요, 그가 이와 같이 흔들려 버림을 받고 빈손이 되리로다, 하매 온 회중이, 아멘, 하고 {주}를 찬양하며 백성이 이 약속대로 행하였더라.

Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise. 

14. 또한 유다 땅에서 내가 그들의 총독으로 임명을 받은 때 곧 아닥사스다 왕의 제이십년부터 제삼십이년까지 즉 십이 년 동안은 나와 내 형제들이 총독의 빵을 먹지 아니하였노라.

Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, [that is], twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.

15. 그러나 내 앞에 있던 이전 총독들은 백성에게 부담을 주어 은 사십 세겔 외에도 그들에게서 빵과 포도즙을 취하였고 또 참으로 그들의 종들도 백성을 지배하였으나 나는 [하나님]을 두려워하므로 그같이 행하지 아니하였고

But the former governors that [had been] before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

16. 참으로 또한 이 성벽 공사를 계속하며 우리가 땅을 사지 아니하였고 내 모든 종들도 거기로 모여 그 일을 하였노라.

Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants [were] gathered thither unto the work.

17. 또 내 상에는 유대인들과 치리자 백오십 명이 있었고 그 외에도 우리 주변의 이교도들 중에서 떠나 우리에게로 나아온 자들이 있었으므로

Moreover [there were] at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that [are] about us.

18. 이제 사람들이 날마다 나를 위해 소 한 마리와 좋은 양 여섯 마리를 예비하며 날짐승도 나를 위해 예비하고 열흘에 한 번씩은 각종 포도즙을 준비하였더라. 그러나 이 모든 것을 위해 내가 총독의 빵을 요구하지 아니하였으니 이는 이 백성에게 임한 속박이 심하였기 때문이라.

Now [that] which was prepared [for me] daily [was] one ox [and] six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.

19. 내 [하나님]이여, 내가 이 백성을 위해 행한 모든 것에 따라 나를 생각하시고 복을 주시옵소서.

Think upon me, my God, for good, [according] to all that I have done for this people.
