가득찬 상태를 경계하는 사람이 곧 哲人(철인)이다.

  A person who guards against the state of being full is a wise person(哲人,철인).

그렇지 못한 대부분의 사람은 衆(중)이다.

  Most people who fail to do so are ordinary people(衆,중).

惡(악)을 버림에 태만하지 말고 善(선)을 지키어 변함이 없으면 그것이 가득참을 경계하는 것이다.

  Do not be negligent in casting away evil, and remain steadfast in maintaining

  goodness―this is what it means to guard against fullness.

이는 자신의 마음을 미루어 남의 마음을 헤아림으로서 얻는 편안함인 것이다.

  This is the peace obtained by extending one′s own heart to the understand

   the hearts of others.

戒盈者는 哲이요 (계영자는 철이요)

  One who guards against fullness is wise,

否者는 爲衆이라 (부자는 위중이라)

  While one who fails to do so belongs to the ordinary crowd.

去惡莫怠하고 守善不遷이니 (거악막태하고 수선불천이니)

  Do not be negligent in getting rid of evil, and preserve goodness without swaying,

是爲戒盈이라 絜矩以安이니라. (시위계영이라 혈구이안이니라.)

  This is what it means to guard against fullness ;

   it brings peace by understanding and measuring the hearts of others.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

본문중에 絜矩以安(혈구이안)이라는 내용은 여러 배달 경전에서 사용된 중요한 개념이다.

  The concept of 絜矩以安(혈구이안, Hyeol-gu-i-an) mentioned in the text is an important idea 

   found across various Baedal(Korean heritage) scriptures.

자신의 마음으로 남의 마음을 헤아림으로서 얻은 편안함의 기본적인 요소는
"나의 마음에 하나님이 계시므로 남의 마음에도 하나님이 계시다." 는 개념이다.

  The fundamental element of peace obtained by understanding the hearts of others through

  one′s own heart is the notion: "Since God resides in my heart, God also resides in the hearts of others." 

이는 弘益人間(홍익인간)의 출발점이기도 하다.

  This serves as the starting point for 弘益人間(홍익인간,Hongil Ingan - to broadly benefit humanity).  

이 개념은 우리 민족의 경전과 漢族(한족)의 경전인 대학에서  공통적으로 나타난다.

  This concept appears in common across scriptures of our nation

   and in the Great Learning(Daxue), a classic scripture of the Han Chinese.
