<영계는 있다- the spirit world exists>

인생을 이렇게 살다 가는 목적은 무엇인가? 이 문제를 다시 생각해 봐야 합니다.

동기가 나로 말미암은 것이 아니었으니 목적도 나만의 것이 아님에 틀림없습니다.

사는 데 있어서 행복한 자리를 싫어하는 자가 어디 있으며, 호화찬란한 자리에서 살고 싶지 않은 자가 어디 있겠습니까마는 마음대로 할 수 없는 것이 나입니다.

그렇지만 또 자신을 자랑하고 싶고, 마음대로 살고 싶고, 마음대로 남아지고 싶은 나입니다.

이런 심정의 교차점을 지닌 나라는 것입니다.

가을 절기가 왔다는 사실은 겨울이 다가오고 있다는 것을 말하는 것입니다.

겨울은 생명이 있는 자만이 통과할 수 있는 과정입니다.

생명을 가지지 못한 것은 다 여기에서 후퇴할 수밖에 없습니다.

그래서 겨울이 오기 전에 새로운 생명을 주입하라는 것입니다.

새 생명은 새로운 사랑을 중심삼은 새로운 주의와 사상, 그리고 새로운 인생관, 새로운 세계관, 새로운 우주관을 가져야 합니다.

그러지 않고는 겨울 절기를 통과하지 못합니다.

겨울 절기를 통과할 수 있는 생명력을 가지게 되면, 그걸 통과하는 과정은 힘들지만 가면 갈수록 봄날이 가까워지는 것입니다.

봄날이 찾아온다는 것입니다. 통일교회는 그 길을 가는 것입니다. (35-45)

우리들은 이 세상에 살고 있지만, 이 세상만 있는 것이 아니고 영계가 있는 것을 알고 있습니다.

세상과 영계는 두 세계가 아니고 하나의 세계로서 연결되어 있습니다.

우리가 가야 할 곳, 우리가 가서 살아야 할 그 곳이 어디냐?

우리는 육신생활을 하면서 이 땅에 있지만 영원한 세계를 향해서 가고 있는 겁니다.

일반 사람들은 세상에 태어나게 되면 10대, 20대, 30대를 지나 청춘시대를 지나 가지고 장년시대로 들어가게 되고, 점점점 한 고개를 넘어서 그 다음엔 노년시대로 들어가게 됩니다.

이렇게 지는 해와 같이 일생을 끝마칩니다. (140-121)

What is the purpose of life? We need to think about this issue again.

The source of our life does not come from us. Thus, the purpose of life certainly does not belong to us alone.

No one would object to the idea of being happy in life. No one would reject a dazzling life. Yet the reality is that none of us is free to live in that way.

Still, each of us wishes to have pride in ourselves, to live freely with respect to our own will, and to be remembered accordingly.

These inter­secting elements all can be found within our hearts. (7-178, 1959.9.6)

The arrival of the autumn season foretells the coming of winter.

Only those with vitality can pass through the course of winter.

Things without vital­ity have no choice but to retreat from there.

That is why new life needs to be injected before the coming of winter.

New life should have a new principle and thought based on a new love, and should be armed with a new outlook on life, the world and the universe.

With­out these it cannot survive through the winter season.

Although the course may be harsh, once you attain the vitality to pass through winter, spring will draw nearer with each passing day.

The spring days will come upon you. The Unifica­tion Church is walking this path. (35-68, 1970.10.3)

We live in this world, yet we know that this is not all there is and that the spirit world exists.

The physical and spir­it worlds are not separate but are con­nected as one.

Then, where is the place to which we are destined to go and ulti­mately settle down?

We are now living in the flesh on this earth, but are mov­ing towards the eternal world.

We pass through our teenage years, our twenties, thirties, and after we have outgrown our youth, we enter the prime of our life, then gradually pass the peak, and eventually reach old age.

Like the setting sun, our life comes to an end in this way. (140-121, 1986.2.9)
