Description---- I propose to teach a series of five classes for intermediate dancers with at least 6 months of experience. Each class will be one and half hour long. The first class will be free - it allows your club members to get a taste of how I teach and what I offer. Here is a draft of the class descriptions: 1. Barridas Barridas (sweeps) is sharp - it adds much drama to your dance. This class covers the basic technique for leading and following barridas, with an emphasis on improvisation. 2. Leading & Following Technique Followers - do leaders use too much force? Leaders - do followers dance on their own and don't listen to you? Tango is about communicating and connecting with your partner. This class goes over simple and readily applicable techniques to improve your leading and following skills. 3. Boleos Boleos are beautiful, and fun. There are many variations to this movement. Come learn how to lead and execute boleos with precision and grace. 4. Milonga Milonga music has its unique rhythm and feeling. How do we dance to that? This class explores the distinctive features of the milonga music, and techniques we can use to put the music in our dance. 5. Musicality Steps are nice, but they get boring quick if they are not motivated by the music. Come explore ways which can help you to become a more musical dancer. Time---- I am available to teach in March, or any time from late April to June. Beetle Juice mentioned that the best time for your club might be June, which I am fine with, though I prefer an earlier time if possible. Fee---- As mentioned before I am happy to teach the first class for free. For the subsequent classes, I am open to your suggestions of how they should be priced and how the proceeds should be split.
