Payment of the full permit fee of $375 ($275 for climbers 24 years and younger at start of climb) is due at the time of registration. You will not be registered without this payment. A park entrance fee of $10 per person (increasing to $15 per person starting May 1, 2019), or presentation of a valid pass, is also required upon check in at the Talkeetna Ranger Station. Payment of the mountaineering permit fee is due at the time of registration.

Payment & Cancellation policy The reservation is tentative until guaranteed payment by credit card (or check) is received. Seats not guaranteed are released 10-days prior to reservation date. A confirmation number will be provided when the seat is guaranteed. Call 1 800 770-7275 (AK Time) to provide cc# and expiration date or use the comment section CC provided to guarantee seat(s) will be charged 2-days prior to first reservation DATE. No cancellations are accepted within 2-days prior to reservation DATE. $15 fee for cancellations between time of guarantee and 2-days prior to reservation date. Canoes/kayaks (hard or collapsible), and bicycles are not luggage. They are cargo and excess fees will be charged.
Cats and dogs in approved airline carriers charged at $20-$50 depending on size of carrier and weight of animal.

Credit Card Processing and Cancellation Policy
Your credit/debit card will be charged 48-hrs prior to your reservation DATE. No cancellations accepted within 2-days (48-hrs) prior to reservation DATE. $15 cancellations fee if cancellation request is received more than 2-days prior to reservation DATE. Cancellations by phone/e-mail must be received during business hours, 7a.m.-7p.m. AK Time. No charge to change dates up to 2-days prior to reservation DATE. No cancellation once travel has begun. No refunds on unused portion of multi-segment ticket.
Holding Seats
If you so indicated in the reservation form comments, seats will be held with a credit/debit card and you may pay the driver cash the day of your departure. On a "held" seat your credit/debit card will only be charged if you cancelled with less than 48-hrs notice prior to your reservation DATE or if you are a "no-show" on the day of reserved travel. Failure to show-up for travel invalidates your entire reservations.
Payment in US funds by Visa, Master Card, cash, money order or travelers check. No personal checks.
Luggage Each passenger allowed 1 bag, up to 50 lbs, up to 62 linear inches, plus 1 personal carry-on, up to 10 lbs, up to 30 linear inches (the approximate size that will fit under an aircraft seat).
Excess luggage charged at $10 per bag, from 1-50 lbs, up to 62 linear inches. Excess may be charged if bag is over 50-lbs and/or over 62 linear inches.

Lost Items
Alaska/Yukon Trails not responsible for lost items. Items left on board, when found, are held for 30-days and then donated to Fairbanks Rescue Mission, if not claimed. Found and claimed items can be mailed to you at your expense.
Border Crossing Documentation All passengers must have machine readable passport, no criminal convictions, at least $300 in cash or credit cards, plus appropriate visa. No drugs, weapons or open alcohol containers allowed in vehicle.
