한국에선 독도 영유권을 또 주장한 걸로 주목받고 있습니다만. 

일본이 7월 13일 공개한 국방백서에서 "대만을 둘러싼 환경을 안정화시키는 것은 일본의 안보와 국제사회의 안정을 위해 중요한 일이며, 역대 어느 때 보다도 더 위기라는 감각으로 이 상황에 집중할 필요가 있다"고 밝혔다고 합니다. 

Japanese defence white paper highlights importance of ‘Taiwanese stability' for Tokyo

Japan has expressed growing concern about the intensification of Chinese military activities around Taiwan and highlighted the importance of the island's stability for Japan's security in the latest defence white paper.

“Stabilising the situation around Taiwan is important for Japan's security and the stability of the international community. Therefore, it is necessary that we pay close attention to the situation with a sense of crisis more than ever before,” stated the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in Tokyo in its 2021 Defense of Japan White Paper, which was released on 13 July.

The President referred to the treaty obligations of his country to the Republic of China which the United States would uphold. The Prime Minister said that the maintenance of peace and security in the Taiwan area was also a most important factor for the security of Japan.
