악귀가 몸에 따라 붙으니 경영하는 일이 거의 다 되어가도 막혀 버린다.

  Asan evil demon attaches itself to the body,

  work being managed gets blocked even when it is  nearly complete.

이익을 구하여 장차 이루어지려 하다가도 깨뜨려져 버리며 

  Even when profit is sought and about to be realized, it gets shattered;

말을 하면 반드시  비방을 당하게 되며 움직이면 반드시 나무람을 만나게 되어
마음은 애가 타고 혀는 문드러지니 죽어서야 그치게 된다.

  whenever one speaks, one is inevitably slandered, and whennever one moves,

  one inevitably encounters rebuke.

  The heart burns with anxiety and the tongue festers, coming to an end only in death.

惡鬼隨身하니 營事幾完하여 沮之하고 (악귀수신하니  영사기완하여 저지하고)

  As an evil demon attaches itself to one′s body,

  it thwarts endeavors even when they are nearly complete,

求利將成에 破之하며 言必被謗하고 動必遭怒하여 (구리장성에 파지하며  언필피방하고 동필조노하여)

  Shatters gain just as it is about to be realized;

  speech inevitably meets with slander, and action inevitably incurs wrath,

焦心爛舌이 終身乃止니라. (초심란설이 종신내지니라.)

  And the burning heart and festering tongue cease only at the end of life.

기회는 인간에게 평등하다.

  Opportunity is equal to all human beings.

누구에게나 좋은 운과 나뿐 운은 골고루 찾아온다.

  Good fortune and bad fortune come to everyone in equal measure.

흔히 사람들은 잘되는 사람을 부러워하고 자신의 운은 원망한다.

  People often envy those who succeed and resent their own fate,

그러나 잘 되는 사람에게 있는 정성이 자신에게 없다는 것을 인정하지 않는다.

  yet they refuse to acknowledge that they lack the sincerity and devotion

  found in those who succeed.

하늘에 대한 정성이 없으면 하늘에서 응함도 없다.

  Without deevotion toward Heaven, there is no response from Heaven.

뿐만 아니라 좋은 운이 왔다 해도 귀신이 방해하여 잘 되다가도 끝에 가서는 반드시 망가지는 것이다.
  Furthermore, even if good dortune arrives, spirits will interfere so that even if things

  start well, they will inevitably crumble in the end.
