Pastry Chef / Pastry Assistant Passionate about pastry and looking for a fresh challenge? La Madre is an award winning artisan bakery in Geelong supplying some of Victoria’s most acclaimed restaurants, cafes and provedores with handmade breads, pastries and cakes. Our employees are loyal, hard working and passionate. We are seeking a Pastry Chef / Pastry Assistant to join our production team in a full time role.  Full time permanent position  Geelong based  Fully laundered uniform provided  Sunday to Thursday on a rotating roster (5am or 12pm start)  Supportive team environment Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Pastry or Viennoiserie, be physically fit and able to work professionally and efficiently under pressure. Responsibilities will include:  preparing, baking and finishing of pastries and cakes to specified guidelines and time frames  maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the production room abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to OHS and Food Safety  adhering to the HACCP programme  general duties including cleaning and maintenance The successful candidate will:  be able to work full time  have knowledge and experience in the production of pastries and cakes, wholesale environment preferred  demonstrate a passion for the industry  be able to work professionally and efficiently under pressure  be reliable and dependable  be physically fit If you want to be of the La Madre team please email your covering letter and resume to jobs@lamadre.com.au.
