Bible Reading - Esther 6:9~14

6:9 Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king's most noble princes.

그러면 그 옷과 말을 왕의 가장 고귀한 왕자 중 한 사람에게 맡기도록 하십시오.

Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, 

and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him,

왕이 존귀하게 여기는 사람에게 옷을 입히고, 그를 말에 태워 성읍 거리를 지나게 하며, 그 앞에서 이렇게 선포하게 하십시오.

'This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!'"'

왕께서 존경하시는 사람에게는 이런 일을 행하신다!'

6:10 "Go at once," the king commanded Haman. "당장에 가거라."하고 왕이 하만에게 명령했습니다.

"Get the robe and the horse and do just as you have suggested for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king's gate. 옷과 말을 가져와서 왕의 문에 앉아 있는 유대인 모르드개에게 당신이 제안한 대로 하라.

Do not neglect anything you have recommended."네가 추천한 것은 무엇이든 무시하지 말라."

6:11 So Haman got the robe and the horse. 그래서 하만은 옷과 말을 얻었다.

He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, "그는 모르드개에게 옷을 입히고, 그를 말에 태워 성읍 거리를 지나가며 그 앞에서 선포하였다.

This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!"

왕께서 존경하시는 사람에게는 이런 일을 행하신다!"

6:12 Afterward Mordecai returned to the king's gate. 나중에 모르드개는 왕의 문으로 돌아왔다.

But Haman rushed home, with his head covered in grief,

그러나 하만은 슬픔에 잠겨 머리를 싸매고 집으로 달려가서

6:13 and told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him.

그리고 그의 아내 제레쉬와 그의 모든 친구들에게 그에게 일어났던 모든 것을 말했다.

His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, 그의 조언자들과 그의 아내 제레쉬는 그에게 말했다.

 "Since Mordecai, before whom your downfall has started, is of Jewish origin, you cannot stand against him--you will surely come to ruin!"

6:14 While they were still talking with him,

the king's eunuchs arrived and hurried Haman away to the banquet Esther had prepared.
