[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 에스더3장

1. 이 일들 후에 아하수에로 왕이 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만을 높이고 그를 승진시켜 그의 자리를 자기와 함께한 모든 통치자들의 자리보다 위에 두니라.

After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that [were] with him.

2. 왕의 문에 있던 왕의 모든 신하가 왕이 그에 관하여 명령을 내렸으므로 하만에게 몸을 굽히고 경의를 표하되 모르드개는 몸을 굽히지도 아니하고 경의를 표하지도 아니하니

And all the kings servants, that [were] in the kings gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence.

3. 그때에 왕의 문에 있던 왕의 신하들이 모르드개에게 이르되, 네가 어찌하여 왕의 명령을 범하느냐? 하더라.

Then the kings servants, which [were] in the kings gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the kings commandment?

4. 이제 그들이 날마다 그에게 말하되 모르드개가 그들의 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하매 그들이 모르드개의 일이 지속되는지 보려고 하만에게 고하였으니 이는 그가 자신이 유대인임을 그들에게 고하였기 때문이더라.

Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecais matters would stand: for he had told them that he [was] a Jew.

5. 하만이 모르드개가 몸을 굽히지도 아니하고 자기에게 경의를 표하지도 아니함을 보고 심히 진노하였더라.

And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

6. 그들이 모르드개의 백성을 하만에게 알려 주었으므로 하만이 모르드개에게만 손을 대는 것을 수치로 여기고 아하수에로의 전 왕국에 두루 있던 모든 유대인 곧 모르드개의 백성을 멸하고자 하였더라.

And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that [were] throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, [even] the people of Mordecai.

7. 아하수에로 왕의 제십이년 첫째 달 곧 니산 월에 그들이 하만 앞에서 부르 즉 제비를 뽑되 날에서 날로, 달에서 달로 뽑아 십이월 곧 아달 월을 얻으니라.

In the first month, that [is], the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that [is], the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, [to] the twelfth [month], that [is], the month Adar.

8. 하만이 아하수에로 왕에게 아뢰되, 한 백성이 왕의 왕국의 모든 지방에서 백성들 가운데 널리 흩어져서 퍼져 있는데 그들의 법들은 모든 백성들의 법들과 다르며 또한 그들이 왕의 법들을 지키지 아니하므로 그들을 용납하는 것이 왕에게 유익이 되지 아니하니이다.

And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the kings laws: therefore it [is] not for the kings profit to suffer them. 

9. 왕이 만일 기쁘게 여기시거든 문서를 쓰셔서 그들을 멸하게 하소서. 내가 그 일의 책무를 맡은 자들의 손에 은 만 달란트를 지급하고 그것을 왕의 보고에 가져다 넣으리이다, 하매

If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring [it] into the kings treasuries. 

10. 왕이 자기의 반지를 손에서 빼어 유대인들의 원수 곧 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만에게 주며

And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews enemy. 

11. 또 왕이 그에게 이르되, 그 은을 네게 주고 그 백성도 그리하노니 너 보기에 좋은 대로 그들에게 행하라, 하더라.

And the king said unto Haman, The silver [is] given to thee, the people also, to do with them as it seemeth good to thee.

12. 이에 첫째 달 십삼일에 왕의 서기관들이 소집되어 하만이 명령한 모든 것에 따라 쓰고 왕의 부관들과 각 지방을 감독하는 총독들과 각 지방의 각 백성의 치리자들에게 보내되 각 지방의 글과 그들의 말로 각 백성에게 보내었으니 그것은 아하수에로 왕의 이름으로 쓰고 왕의 반지로 날인한 것이더라.

Then were the kings scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the kings lieutenants, and to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the kings ring. 

13. 그가 그 편지를 파발꾼들을 통해 왕의 모든 지방에 보내어 십이월 곧 아달 월 십삼일 하루 동안 젊은이나 늙은이나 어린이나 여인을 막론하고 모든 유대인을 멸하고 죽이며 소멸시키고 또 그들을 탈취물로 노략하게 하였으며

And the letters were sent by posts into all the kings provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, [even] upon the thirteenth [day] of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and [to take] the spoil of them for a prey.

14. 또 각 지방에 전달될 명령을 위한 문서의 사본을 모든 백성들에게 널리 알렸으니 이것은 그들이 그 날을 대비하게 하려 함이더라.

The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.

15. 파발꾼들이 왕의 명령에 따라 신속히 움직여 나가매 그 칙령이 수산 궁에도 전달되니라. 왕과 하만은 마시려고 앉았으나 수산 시는 혼란에 빠지니라.

The posts went out, being hastened by the kings commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
