에스더4장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 에스더4장

1. 모르드개가 이루어진 모든 일을 깨닫고는 자기 옷을 찢고 굵은 베옷을 입으며 재를 뒤집어쓰고 도시 한가운데로 나아가 큰 소리로 비통하게 부르짖으며

When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

2. 심지어 왕의 문 앞에까지 이르렀으니 이는 굵은 베옷을 입고는 아무도 왕의 문에 들어가지 못하였기 때문이더라.

And came even before the kings gate: for none [might] enter into the kings gate clothed with sackcloth.

3. 왕의 명령과 그의 칙령이 이른 모든 지방에서 유대인들이 크게 애곡하고 금식하며 슬피 울고 울부짖었으며 또 많은 사람이 굵은 베옷을 입고 재에 누웠더라.

And in every province, whithersoever the kings commandment and his decree came, [there was] great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes. 

4. 이에 에스더의 시녀들과 시종장들이 나아와 그 일을 그녀에게 고하니 그때에 왕비가 심히 근심하여 입을 의복을 모르드개에게 보내어 그의 굵은 베옷을 벗기려 하였으나 모르드개가 그것을 받지 아니하였더라.

So Esthers maids and her chamberlains came and told [it] her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received [it] not. 

5. 이에 에스더가 왕이 정하여 자기를 섬기게 한 자 곧 왕의 시종장들 가운데 하나인 하닥을 부르고 그에게 명령을 내려 모르드개에게 가서 그것이 무슨 일이며 무슨 이유 때문인지 알아보게 하매

Then called Esther for Hatach, [one] of the kings chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it [was], and why it [was]. 

6. 하닥이 왕의 문 앞에 있던 도시의 거리로 가서 모르드개에게 이르니

So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which [was] before the kings gate.

7. 모르드개가 자기에게 일어난 모든 일과 하만이 유대인들로 인해 그들을 멸하려고 왕의 보고에 바치기로 약속한 돈의 총액을 하닥에게 말하며

And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the kings treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

8. 또 수산에서 유대인들을 멸하기 위해 전달된 칙령 문서의 사본을 하닥에게 주고 그것을 에스더에게 보여 주어 그녀에게 그것을 밝히 알리게 하며 또 그녀에게 부탁하여 그녀가 왕에게 들어가 그 앞에서 자기 백성을 위해 그에게 간구하고 요청하게 하니

Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew [it] unto Esther, and to declare [it] unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

9. 하닥이 돌아와 모르드개의 말을 에스더에게 고하니라.

And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.

10. 에스더가 다시 하닥에게 말하고 그에게 명령을 내려 모르드개에게 전하기를,

Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;

11. 왕의 모든 신하들과 왕의 지방들의 백성들이 알거니와 남녀를 막론하고 누구든지 부름을 받지 아니하고 안뜰에 들어가 왕에게 나아가면 왕의 법은 그를 죽이는 것 하나뿐이며 다만 왕이 그 사람에게 황금 홀(笏)을 내밀어야 그가 살리이다. 그러나 이제 내가 부름을 받지 못해 왕에게 나아가지 못한 지 이미 삼십 일이나 되었나이다, 하라.

All the kings servants, and the people of the kings provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, [there is] one law of his to put [him] to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

12. 그들이 에스더의 말을 모르드개에게 고하매

And they told to Mordecai Esthers words.

13. 그때에 모르드개가 명령하여 에스더에게 회답하되, 네가 왕의 집에서 모든 유대인들보다 더 잘 피하리라고 스스로 생각하지 말라.

Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the kings house, more than all the Jews.

14. 이때에 네가 전적으로 잠잠하면 유대인들은 다른 곳으로부터 해방과 구출을 받으려니와 너와 네 아버지 집은 멸망하리라. 네가 이와 같은 때를 위해 왕국에 들어갔는지 누가 알겠느냐? 하니라.

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, [then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy fathers house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for [such] a time as this? 

15. 이에 에스더가 그들에게 명하여 돌아가서 모르드개에게 이같이 답하게 하되,

Then Esther bade [them] return Mordecai [this answer],

16. 가서 수산에 있는 모든 유대인들을 함께 모으고 나를 위하여 금식하되 사흘 동안 밤낮으로 먹지도 말고 마시지도 마소서. 나도 내 시녀들과 함께 그렇게 금식하리이다. 그리고 나서 내가 법대로 하지 아니하고 왕에게 나아가리니 내가 죽으면 죽으리이다, 하매

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which [is] not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. 

17. 이에 모르드개가 자기 길로 가서 에스더가 자기에게 명령한 대로 다 행하니라.

So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
