10:1 King Xerxes imposed(부과하다) tribute(조공) throughout the empire, to its distant shores.

크세르크세스 왕은 제국 전역과 먼 해안에 조공을 부과했다.

10:2 And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai to which the king had raised him,

그리고 왕이 모르드개를 얼마나 위대하게 높였는지에 대한 자세한 설명과 함께 그의 모든 권세와 능력의 행위가 

are they not written in the book of the annals(연대) of the kings of Media and Persia?

메디아와 페르시아 왕들의 연대기에 기록되어 있지 않은가?

10:3 Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent(뛰어난) among the Jews, 

유대인 모르드개는 유대인들 중에 뛰어나 크세르크세스 왕 다음이었고

and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews,

그리고 많은 유대인 동료들로부터 높은 평가를 받았다.

because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.

그는 자신의 민족의 이익을 위해 일했고 모든 유대인의 복지를 위해 목소리를 높였기 때문이다.
