Bible Reading - Malachi 1:1~7

1:1 An oracle: The word of the LORD to Israel through Malachi.

신탁 : 말라기를 통해 이스라엘에게 주시는 여호와의 말씀

1:2 "I have loved you," says the LORD.

"나는 너희를 사랑하였다."고 여호와께서 말씀하신다.

"But you ask, 'How have you loved us?'

그러나 너희는 "어떻게 당신은 우리를 사랑하셨습니까?"라고 묻는다.

"Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" the LORD says.

"에서가 야곱의 형제가 아니었는가?"라고 여호와께서 말씀하신다.

"Yet I have loved Jacob, 그러나 나는 야곱을 사랑하였고 

1:3 but Esau I have hated, 그러나 나는 에서를 미워하였고

 and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland 그의 산들을 버려진 땅으로 바꾸었으며 

and left his inheritance to the desert jackals." 그의 유산을 사막의 재칼에게 남겨 두었다.

1:4 Edom may say, "Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins." 

에돔은 "비록 우리가 부서지지만, 우리는 그 폐허를 다시 세울 것이다."라고 말할 것이다. 

But this is what the LORD Almighty says: 그러나 이것은 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하시는 것이다. 

"They may build, but I will demolish. 그들이 세울 것이나 나는 허물어 버릴 것이다. 

They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the LORD.

그들은 악한 땅, 하나님의 진노 아래 항상 놓여진 사람들이라고 불리어질 것이다.   

1:5 You will see it with your own eyes and say, 'Great is the LORD--even beyond the borders of Israel!'  너희는 너희 자신의 눈으로 그것을 보고 "주님은 심지어 이스라엘의 국경을 넘어서 조차 위대하시다."라고 말할 것이다. 

1:6 "A son honors his father, and a servant his master.

아들이 그의 아버지를, 종들이 그의 주인을 공경 한다.

If I am a father, where is the honor due me? 내가 아버지라면, 나에게 마땅한 공경은 어디에 있는가?

If I am a master, where is the respect due me?" 내가 주인이라면 나에게 마땅한 존경은 어디에 있는가?

says the LORD Almighty. "It is you, O priests, who show contempt(멸시하다) for my name."

전능하신 주님께서 말씀하신다."내 이름을 멸시하는 자들은 바로 너희 제사장들이니라."

But you ask, 'How have we shown contempt for your name?'

그러나 너희는 "우리가 당신의 이름을 어떻게 멸시하였는가?"라고 묻는다.

1:7 "You place defiled food on my altar. " 너는 내 제단에 더럽혀진 음식을 올려놓는구나.

But you ask, 'How have we defiled you?' " 그러나 너희는 "우리가 어떻게 당신을 더렵혔습니까?"하고 묻는다.

By saying that the LORD'S table is contemptible(업신여기는). "여호와의 식탁을 업신여긴다고 함으로써"
