[바이블 애플] KJV 흠정역 에스더7장

1. 이처럼 왕과 하만이 왕비 에스더와 함께 잔치에 나아가니라.

So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen. 

2. 왕이 둘째 날 포도주 잔치에서 다시 에스더에게 이르되, 왕비 에스더여, 그대의 청원이 무엇이냐? 그대에게 허락하겠노라. 그대의 요구가 무엇이냐? 왕국의 절반이라도 시행하겠노라, 하니

And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What [is] thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what [is] thy request? and it shall be performed, [even] to the half of the kingdom.

3. 그때에 왕비 에스더가 응답하여 이르되, 오 왕이여, 내가 만일 왕의 눈앞에서 은총을 입었으며 또 왕이 기쁘게 여기시거든 내 청원대로 내 생명을 내게 주시고 내 요구대로 내 백성을 내게 주소서.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

4. 우리 곧 나와 내 백성이 멸망과 살육을 당해 소멸되도록 팔렸나이다. 그러나 만일 우리가 남자 노예나 여자 노예로 팔렸더라면 비록 그 원수가 왕의 손해를 보상할 수 없다 할지라도 내가 내 혀를 억제하였으리이다, 하니라.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the kings damage. 

5. 이에 아하수에로 왕이 왕비 에스더에게 응답하여 이르되, 감히 마음속으로 이와 같이 하려고 한 자가 누구며 그가 어디 있느냐? 하니

Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so? 

6. 에스더가 이르되, 그 대적과 원수는 이 악한 하만이니이다, 하매 그때에 하만이 왕과 왕비 앞에서 두려워하니라.

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy [is] this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. 

7. 왕이 진노하여 일어나서 포도주 잔치를 떠나 왕궁의 정원으로 들어가니라. 하만이 일어서서 자기 생명을 구하려고 왕비 에스더에게 간구하니 왕이 자기에게 화를 내리기로 결심한 줄 그가 보았더라.

And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath [went] into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

8. 왕이 왕궁의 정원으로부터 포도주 잔치에 돌아오매 하만이 에스더가 있던 침상 위에 엎드러져 있으므로 이에 왕이 이르되, 그가 집에서 내 앞에서 왕비도 강제로 욕보이려 하는가? 하니 이 말이 왕의 입에서 나오매 그들이 하만의 얼굴을 덮으니라.

Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther [was]. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the kings mouth, they covered Hamans face. 

9. 왕의 시종장들 가운데 하나인 하르보나가 왕 앞에서 아뢰되, 또한 보소서, 왕을 위하여 좋은 것을 아뢴 모르드개를 매달기 위해 하만이 만든 오십 큐빗 높이의 교수대가 하만의 집에 서 있나이다, 하니 그때에 왕이 이르되, 하만을 거기에 매달라, 하니라.

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. 

10. 이에 하만이 모르드개를 위해 예비한 교수대에 그들이 하만을 매다니 그 뒤에 왕의 진노가 진정되니라.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the kings wrath pacified.
