God is One who executes justice. In today’s passage, while the high priest and the elders of the people were plotting to kill Jesus, Satan entered Judas Iscariot; Judas then conferred with them and agreed to accept money. On the Day of Unleavened Bread, Jesus sent Peter and John to prepare for the Passover; later, He sat with the apostles, took bread and gave thanks, instructing them to remember Him through His body, and took the cup, declaring it to be the blood of the new covenant. Furthermore, the Lord entrusted the apostles with the Father's kingdom to rule over it and spoke of how He had prayed for Simon so that his faith would not fail. Afterward, upon being arrested on the Mount of Olives and brought before the high priest, He revealed Himself to be the Son of God. Amen.
