Bible Reading - Malachi 1:8~14

1:8 When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? 

눈먼 동물을 제물로 바치는 것은 잘못된 일이 아닌가?

When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? 

불구가 되거나 병든 동물을 희생 제사로 드리는 것이 잘못된 일이 아닌가?

Try offering them to your governor! 너희의 총독에게 그것들을 드려보라.

Would he be pleased with you? 그가 너를 기뻐할 것인가?

Would he accept you?" says the LORD Almighty.

그가 너를 받아들일 것인가?" 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다.

1:9 "Now implore(간청하다) God to be gracious to us.

이제 하나님께서 우리에게 은혜를 베푸시도록 간구하자.

With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?"--says the LORD Almighty.

너희 손에서 그런 제물을 바치면 그가 너희를 받아들이실 것인가?" 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.

1:10 "Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, 오, 너희 중 한 사람이 성전 문을 닫았더라면,

so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! 그러면 내 제단에 쓸데없는 불을 피우지 못할 것이다!

I am not pleased with you," says the LORD Almighty,

나는 너희를 기뻐하지 않는다"고 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다.

"and I will accept no offering from your hands.

그리고 나는 너희들의 손에서 어떤 제물도 받지 않을 것이다.

1:11 My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. 

내 이름은 해 뜨는 데서부터 해 지는 데까지 모든 민족 가운데서 크게 될 것이다.

In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, 

모든 곳에서 내 이름으로 향과 깨끗한 제물을 바칠 것이요

because my name will be great among the nations," says the LORD Almighty.

왜냐하면 내 이름이 민족들 중에서 크게 될 것이다."라고 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다. 

1:12 "But you profane(신성을 더럽히다) it by saying of the Lord's table, 'It is defiled,' and of its food, 'It is contemptible(멸시받을 만한).'

그러나 너희는 주님의 식탁을 두고 '더러운 것'이라 하고, 그 식탁에서 먹는 음식을 두고 '멸시받을 만한 것'이라 하여 그것을 더럽히고 있다.

1:13 And you say, 'What a burden!' and you sniff(~의 냄새를 맡다) at it contemptuously(경멸적으로)," says the LORD Almighty."

그런데 너희는 '이게 무슨 짐인가!' 하고 말하며 그것을 업신여기는구나." 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하셨다."

When you bring injured, crippled or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices,

다치거나 불구가 되거나 병든 동물을 데려와 제물로 바칠 때,

should I accept them from your hands?" says the LORD.

내가 너희의 손에서 그것들을 받아야하는가?" 여호와께서 말씀하신다.

1:14 "Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the LORD.

양 떼 가운데 괜찮은 수컷을 두고 그것을 바치겠다고 서약한 뒤, 흠 있는 동물을 여호와께 제물로 바치는 자는 저주를 받을 것이다.

For I am a great king," says the LORD Almighty, "

나는 위대한 왕이다." 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.

and my name is to be feared among the nations.

그리고 내 이름은 이방 나라들 가운데서 두려워할 이름이 될 것이다.
