✈️⚓🛳 보잉 F/A-18E/F 슈퍼호넷(Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet)은 맥도넬 더글러스 F/A-18 호넷을 기반으로 개발된 미국의 초음속 쌍발 엔진 함재 다목적 전투기 시리즈이다. 슈퍼호넷은 미국, 호주, 쿠웨이트군에서 운용 중이다. F/A-18E 단좌형과 F/A-18F 복좌형은 각각 F/A-18C와 F/A-18D 호넷보다 크고 성능이 향상된 기종이다. 공대공 및 공대지/지상 임무 수행이 가능한 슈퍼호넷은 20mm M61A2 회전식 기관포를 기본 장착하고 있으며, 공대공미사일, 공대지미사일 및 다양한 무기를 탑재할 수 있다. 최대 5개의 외부 연료 탱크에 추가 연료를 탑재할 수 있으며, 외부 공중 급유 시스템을 추가하여 공중급유기로도 운용할 수 있다. 맥도넬 더글러스에서 설계 및 초기 생산한 슈퍼호넷은 1995년에 첫 비행을 했다. 1997년 초 소량 생산이 시작되었고, 맥도넬 더글러스와 보잉이 합병된 전 달인 1997년 9월에 본격적인 대량 생산에 들어갔다. 전자전 변형 기종인 EA-18G 그라울러도 개발되었다. 공식 명칭은 "슈퍼호넷"이지만, 미 해군에서는 일반적으로 "라이노"로 불린다. 슈퍼호넷은 1999년 미 해군에 실전 배치되어 2006년에 퇴역한 그루먼 F-14 톰캣을 대체했으며, 기존 호넷과 함께 운용되기도 했다. F/A-18E/F는 2000년대 이후 미국 항공모함 전력의 핵심으로 자리 잡았으며, 아프가니스탄과 이라크 전쟁, 그리고 시리아의 이슬람국가(IS) 및 아사드 정권 관련 세력과의 전투를 포함한 중동지역에서 광범위하게 사용되었다. 1984년부터 F/A-18A를 주력 전투기로 운용해 온 호주 왕립 공군(RAAF)은 노후화된 제너럴 다이내믹스 F-111C 전투기를 대체하기 위해 2007년에 F/A-18F를 주문했고, 슈퍼호넷은 2010년 12월에 실전 배치되었다. 미 해군은 2030년대부터 슈퍼호넷을 F/A-XX로 교체할 계획이다.
