에스더9장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

[바이블 애플] KJV흠정역 에스더9장

1. 이제 십이월 곧 아달 월 즉 그 달의 십삼일이 되어 왕의 명령과 그의 칙령을 수행할 때가 가까이 이르니라. 이 날에 유대인들의 원수들이 그들을 지배하려고 바랐으나 (일이 거꾸로 되어 유대인들이 도리어 자기들을 미워하던 자들을 지배하였더라.)

Now in the twelfth month, that [is], the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the kings commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;

2. 유대인들이 아하수에로 왕의 모든 지방에서 두루 자기들의 도시들에 함께 모여 자기들을 해치려고 하는 자들에게 손을 대려 하였더라. 아무도 능히 그들을 막지 못하였으니 이는 그들의 두려움이 그들에게 임하였기 때문이더라.

The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

3. 지방들의 모든 치리자들과 부관들과 총독들과 왕의 관리들이 유대인들을 도왔으니 이는 모르드개의 두려움이 그들에게 임하였기 때문이더라.

And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them. 

4. 모르드개가 왕의 집에서 창대하게 되고 그의 명성이 모든 지방에 두루 퍼져 이 사람 모르드개가 점점 더 창대하게 되었더라.

For Mordecai [was] great in the kings house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

5. 이와 같이 유대인들이 칼을 휘둘러 자기들의 모든 원수를 쳐서 살육하고 멸하였으며 자기들을 미워하던 자들에게 자기들이 원하는 대로 행하였더라.

Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them. 

6. 또 수산 궁에서 유대인들이 오백 명을 죽여 멸하였고

And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.

7. 또 바산다다와 달본과 아스바다와

And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

8. 보라다와 아달랴와 아리다다와

And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

9. 바마스다와 아리새와 아리대와 왜사다

And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,

10. 곧 함므다다의 손자요, 유대인들의 원수인 하만의 열 아들을 죽였으나 노략물에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라.

The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

11. 그 날에 수산 궁에서 죽임 당한 자들의 수를 왕 앞에 가져가니라.

On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king. 

12. 왕이 왕비 에스더에게 이르되, 유대인들이 수산 궁에서 이미 오백 명을 죽여 멸하고 또 하만의 열 아들도 그리하였으니 왕의 나머지 지방들에서는 그들이 무엇을 하였겠느냐? 이제 그대의 청원이 무엇이냐? 그대에게 허락하겠노라. 또는 그대의 요구가 무엇이냐? 그것을 시행하겠노라, 하니

And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the kings provinces? now what [is] thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what [is] thy request further? and it shall be done.

13. 그때에 에스더가 이르되, 왕이 만일 기쁘게 여기시거든 수산에 있는 유대인들이 내일도 이 날의 칙령대로 행하게 허락하시고 하만의 열 아들을 교수대에 매달게 하소서, 하매

Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which [are] in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this days decree, and let Hamans ten sons be hanged upon the gallows. 

14. 왕이 명령하여 그대로 행하게 하고 칙령을 수산에 내리니 그들이 하만의 열 아들을 매다니라.

And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Hamans ten sons.

15. 아달 월 십사일에도 수산에 있던 유대인들이 함께 모여 삼백 명을 수산에서 죽였으나 탈취물에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라.

For the Jews that [were] in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.

16. 그러나 왕의 지방들에 있던 다른 유대인들이 함께 모여 자기들의 생명을 지키기 위해 일어서고 자기들의 원수들에게서 벗어나 안식을 얻으며 자기들의 원수 칠만 오천 명을 죽였으나 탈취물에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라.

But the other Jews that [were] in the kings provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

17. 그들이 아달 월 십삼일에 그 일을 행하였고 그 달 십사일에는 안식하였으며 그 날을 잔치하며 즐기는 날로 삼았더라.

On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness. 

18. 그러나 수산에 있던 유대인들은 그 달 십삼일과 십사일에 함께 모였고 그 달 십오일에 안식하였으며 그 날을 잔치하며 즐기는 날로 삼았더라.

But the Jews that [were] at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth [day] thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth [day] of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

19. 그러므로 마을들에 사는 유대인들 곧 성벽이 없는 고을들에 거하던 자들이 아달 월 십사일을 즐기며 잔치하는 날로 좋은 날로 삼고 또 서로에게 음식을 보내는 날로 삼으니라.

Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar [a day of] gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

20. 모르드개가 이 일들을 기록하고 가깝든지 멀든지 아하수에로 왕의 모든 지방에 있던 모든 유대인에게 편지를 보내어

And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that [were] in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, [both] nigh and far,

21. 그들 가운데서 이것 즉 그들이 해마다 아달 월 십사일과 그 달의 십오일을 지킬 것을 굳게 세우되

To stablish [this] among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

22. 이 날들을 유대인들이 자기들의 원수들에게서 벗어나 안식을 얻은 날들로, 슬픔이 변하여 기쁨이 되고 애곡하는 일이 변하여 좋은 날이 된 달로 지키게 하고 또 그들이 그 날들을 잔치하고 기뻐하는 날로 삼으며 또 서로에게 음식을 보내고 가난한 자들에게 선물을 주는 날로 삼게 하니라.

As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

23. 유대인들이 이미 자기들이 시작한 대로 또 모르드개가 자기들에게 쓴 대로 행하였으니

And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;

24. 이는 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들로서 모든 유대인의 원수가 된 하만이 유대인들을 멸하려고 계획하여 부르 곧 제비를 뽑아 그들을 소멸시키고 멸하려 하였기 때문이더라.

Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that [is], the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them; 

25. 그러나 에스더가 왕 앞에 나아가매 왕이 편지로 명령하여 하만이 유대인들을 치려고 꾸민 그의 악한 계획을 그의 머리로 돌려보내어 하만과 그의 아들들을 교수대에 매달게 하였더라.

But when [Esther] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. 

26. 그러므로 그들이 부르라는 이름을 따라 이 날들을 부림이라 하니라. 그런즉 이 편지의 모든 말과 이 일에 관하여 자기들이 본 것과 자기들에게 일어난 일로 인해

Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and [of that] which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them, 

27. 유대인들이 그렇게 정하였고 또 자기들과 자기들의 씨와 자기들에게 연합한 자들이 그 날들의 기록대로 그 날들의 정한 때에 이 두 날을 해마다 지켜서 그것을 폐하지 아니하기로 작정하였으며

The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their [appointed] time every year; 

28. 또 각 세대, 각 가족, 각 지방, 각 도시에서 이 두 날을 기억하여 지키고 또 부림의 이 날들을 유대인들 가운데서 폐하지 아니하게 하며 이 날들을 기념하는 일이 자기들의 씨에게서도 없어지지 아니하게 하였더라.

And [that] these days [should be] remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and [that] these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed. 

29. 그때에 아비하일의 딸 왕비 에스더와 유대인 모르드개가 전권을 가지고 글을 써서 부림에 관한 이 둘째 편지를 확정하였고

Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm‎ this second letter of Purim. 

30. 또 그가 평화롭고 진실한 말로 편지를 써서 아하수에로의 왕국의 백스물일곱 지방과 모든 유대인들에게 보내어

And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, [with] words of peace and truth,

31. 유대인 모르드개와 왕비 에스더가 그들에게 촉구한 대로 또 그들이 자기들과 자기들의 씨를 위해 금식하며 부르짖은 일들을 정한 대로 그 날들의 정한 때에 부림의 이 날들을 지킬 것을 확정하였더라.

To confirm‎ these days of Purim in their times [appointed], according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry. 

32. 에스더의 명령이 부림에 관한 일들을 확정하였고 그 일이 책에 기록되었더라.

And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.
