Bible Matrix ⑦: Historical & Scientific Views on Daniel and Revelation
Part 2. Revelation
Revelation 3:7~13 - To the Church in Philadelphia - A faithful church of little power, Receiving Only Praise from Jesus
Revelation 3:10 – (1) I will also keep you from the hour of trial
☞ <Revelation> 3:10 - Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. (NIV); Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (KJV); "Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. (NLT); You have ·obeyed my teaching [kept my word] about ·not giving up your faith [endurance; perseverance]. So I will keep you from the time [hour] of trouble [trial; testing] that will come [or is about to come] to the whole world to test those who live on earth. (EXB)
○ The meaning of ‘keep you from’ in Revelation 3:10 is not 'exemption', but just as Noah was kept and protected from Noah's Flood(Genesis 6:13~8:22, Matthew 24:38~39, c.BC 13,020 or c.BC(B) 2,458), and just as Lot was kept and protected from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by nuclear weapons (Genesis 19:23~29, Matthew 10:15, 11:20~24, c.BC 2,023), Jesus will keep and protect ‘you’ from the hour of test until you will complete the given mission and until you will be martyred by the antichrists [Reference - Mongol missionary Seongcheol Kim - The Secret Hidden in <Revelation> No 9 (Philadelphia Church 3:7~13)].
○ Noah's flood did not target a specific area, but it happened to all the people living on the earth, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah occurred to the people of the entire area of Sodom and Gomorrah. Likewise, because ‘the time (or hour) of trial’ will be a test that is going to come upon the whole world in order to test those who live on the earth, namely, all the people including the evil and the good, so all the saints or servants of God the Father must pass through without avoiding or exempting from it. [Reference - Brides waiting for the Lord - Revelation 3:10, Now is the time to come to the whole world and test the inhabitants of the earth!]
○ In addition to keeping and protecting, there is one more thing, it is ‘salvation’ actually(Revelation 14:3). This will be almost at the end of the day around AD 8,580~9,580. So, salvation shall be based on the death (or the martyrdom) (1 Corinthians 15:12~22), therefore, salvation means to be martyred (Revelation 6:11, 12:11) for ‘the word of God the Father and the blood and testimony of Jesus’(Revelation 1:2, 6:9, 12:11). This is the difference between ‘the time of trial’ and the time of Noah and Lot. The more details will be discussed in Revelation 6 and 7.
○ The beginning and the end of the hour of Trial - There is the One who sets the period or the duration of ‘hour’ or ‘time’ or ‘age’, which is the beginning and the end of all ‘things (or events)’. He is God the Father. As I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_15>~<Bible Matrix ⑦_19>, the Babylonian Empire-Persian Empire-Greek Empire-Roman Empire existed only for periods set by God the Father and then disappeared. Therefore, ‘the hour (or time) of trial (or temptation or testing)’ also refers to the time set by God the Father. In other words, it is programmed. In this case, the beginning and the end of the program are written as records as the book. Judgment is not arbitrary. It is to judge according to what is written in the book. For example, according to ’The scroll sealed with seven seals‘ in chapters 5 and 6 of <Revelation>, ‘the time of trial will be tested or executed.
○ However, who executes the program? Jesus is the One who actually executes, namely, commands according to the Book of <Revelation>. Because Jesus has the authority to judge heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18, John 5:22, 5:27).
☞ However, according to the command (or order) of Jesus, those who actually play the role in carrying out the program can be archangels, angels, or Satan (devil, dragon, serpent) (Revelation 20:2).
☞ In the <Revelation>, you should know that Satan (the devil) (Revelation 2:10, 12:9, 13:1~18, 20:2) and death and Hades (Revelation 1:18, 6:8) which belong to Satan, shall participate in judgements according to their roles. However, you must also know that Satan as well as death and Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10, 20:14).
☞ The purpose of the Second Coming of Jesus is to come to judge the quick and the dead (The Apostles' Creed, 2 Timothy 4:1, 1 Peter 4:5), but also to destroy Satan (devil) (1 John 3:8, Revelations 20:10) as well as death and Hades (Revelation 20:14).
