Bible Reading - Malachi 3:1~9

3:1 "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. 

보라, 나는 내 앞에 길을 예비할 내 사자(메신저)를 보낼 것이다.

Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty.

"그때 갑자기 너를 찾는 주님께서 그의 성전에 오실 것이며 네가 바라는 언약의 사자(메신저)가 오실 것이다." 주 전능하신 분께서 말씀하신다. 

3:2 But who can endure the day of his coming? 그러나 누가 그가 오시는 날에 견딜 수 있을 것인가?

Who can stand when he appears? 그가 나타나실 때에 누가 설 수 있을 것인가?

For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.

그는 정제하는 자의 불과 세탁하는 자의 비누와 같이 될 것이다.

3:3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; 그는 은을 정련하고 순화하는 자처럼 앉으실 것이다.

he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.

그는 레위인들을 깨끗게 하실 것이며 금이나 은과 같이 그들을 정제하실 것이다. 

 Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,

그때 여호와께서 의로운 제물을 바치는 사람들을 받으시리라.

3:4 and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years.

유다와 예루살렘의 제물은 옛날과 같이, 이전의 해(year)와 같이 여호와께서 기뻐하실 것이다.

3:5 "So I will come near to you for judgment. 그러므로 내가 심판하기 위해 너에게 가까이 나아가겠다.

I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers(거짓 맹세자),  against those who defraud(속이다) laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless,

나는 마술사, 간음자, 거짓 맹세자, 노동자의 임금을 속이는 자, 과부와 고아를 억압하는 자들을 고발하는 데 주저하지 않을 것이다.

and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty."

나는 나그네에게서 정의를 빼앗을 것이나 나를 두려워하지 말라"고 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.

3:6 "I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed."

나 여호와는 변하지 않는다. 그러므로 야곱의 자손인 너희는 멸망하지 않을 것이다."

3:7 Ever since the time of your forefathers 너희 조상의 시대부터 

 you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them.

너희는 내 율례로부터 돌이켜 지키지 않았다.

Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. 

내게로 돌아오라 그러면 나도 너희에게 돌아갈 것이다."전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하신다. 

"But you ask, 'How are we to return?' 그러나 너희는 묻는다. '어떻게 우리가 돌아가야 하겠습니까?"

3:8 "Will a man rob God?  사람이 하나님을 강탈할 것인가?

Yet you rob me. 그러나 너희는 나를 강탈한다.

"But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "그러나 너희는 묻는다. 어떻게 우리가 당신을 강탈하는가?

In tithes and offerings. 십일조와 헌물에서 

3:9 You are under a curse--the whole nation of you--

너희들과 너희의 온 나라가 저주 아래있다.(저주를 받았다.)

because you are robbing me. 왜냐하면 너희가 나를 약탈하고 있기에
