from Years 6 to 11 - attending a thought-provoking presentation

On Monday, our students from Years 6 to 11 had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking presentation by Akkaash R. Naidu, a 15-year-old student from Trinity Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida.

Akkaash took us on a historical journey through the evolution of the swastika — tracing its origins as a symbol of good fortune and spirituality across Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and ancient European cultures, and how its meaning was later distorted during the Nazi regime.

The session was clear, well-researched, and interactive, ending with a fun quiz and Q&A that sparked meaningful discussions among our students. A powerful reminder that history is often more complex than it seems.
