영어(English)
The Sixth Venerable One rests his chin on his right hand and strokes a young lion with his left, looking back at the attendant who selects and tends to a cucumber.
The verse says:
He strokes the chicks with his hand and looks at the offering of the cucumber; the sweet and fragrant intention seems to reach his face. Though the six sense objects enter together, the mind also knows universally; this knowing is Great Mani.
Reciting the Six Arhats:
Seeing him caress a young lion with his hands and offer a cucumber with his eyes, the meaning that the fruit is sweet and fragrant is revealed on the Venerable's face; even though all six sense objects enter, the mind knows universally; this knowing is precisely Great Mani. The Seventh Venerable One sat by the water's edge; a dragon emerged and spat out a pearl from his hand. A foreigner held a short tin staff, and a barbarian stood holding a bowl. The Verse Says:
I (the Arhat) have transmitted the Dharma lineage with the Eye of the Way, and you (the Dragon) have become a dragon protecting the Dharma with the power of your vows. When the Way is attained and your wishes are fulfilled, you will not be ashamed to see the Buddha; therefore, I shall take this jade box and give it to Sun Simiao. The Eighth Venerable sat kneeling with his forearm resting on the ground; an attendant drew water and passed in front of him, and a divine being emerged from the earth, holding a tray and presenting a treasure. The Song says:
You come with a spirit of generosity, and I receive with compassion.
Each obtains their own mind; to whom does the treasure belong?
Seeing myself as you, receiving and giving are identical;
The merit and virtue of you and me are as vast as the universe in all four directions. The Ninth Venerable One, having finished eating, covered his bowl and sat reciting incantations while holding several beads; below him, a young boy was setting fire to prepare tea offerings, and another was burying a bamboo tube in the ground to pour water into a pond. The Song says:
Having finished the meal, I sit with my bowl covered.
A young boy offers tea and blows a bamboo tube to make the grass bloom.
I perform a Buddhist ritual; how profound and wondrous it is!
The empty mountain is deserted, yet water flows and flowers bloom.
The Song says:
Having finshed the meal offering, I sit with my bowl covered. A young boy offers tea and blows a bamboo tube to make the grass bloom. I perform a Buddhist ritual; how profound and wondrous it is! The empty mountain is empty, yet water flows and flowers bloom. The Tenth Venerable One held the scriptures and sat upright in the lotus position, with an immortal and a maiden burning incense in front.
The verse says:
Flying Immortal, Jade Pure; Maiden, Cloud-Eyed Miao. Bowing my head and burning incense, I dare to ask about the Supreme Way.
Our Way is of the Great Unity; there is enlightenment but no cultivation.
How could there not be a way to attain eternal life? Yet, it is not what I seek.
Therefore, I recite:
The flying immortals are as pure as jade, and the maidens are as distant as clouds; bowing my head and burning incense, I dare to ask about the Supreme Way.
Our Way is of the Great Unity; there is enlightenment but no cultivation. How could there not be a way to attain eternal life? Yet, it is not what I seek.

Al verme reflejado en ti, recibir y dar son idénticos;
