일마다 패망하니 성취함이 하나도 없다.

  Meeting ruin every endeavor, one achieves nothing at all.

事事敗亡하여 無一成就니라. (사사패망하여 무인성취니라.)

  Failing and being ruined in every matter, not a single accomplishment is made.

 [Explanation, 풀이]

일을 대할 때마다 정성이 없으니 믿음이 있을리 없고 믿음이 없으니 사랑을 얻지 못하고
사람들에게 믿음과 사랑을 얻지 못하니 일을 성취할 바탕이 없게 된다.

  Lacking sincerity in every task, there can be no trust;  lacking trust, one cannot gain love;

  and without earning trust and love from people,

  there is no foundation upon which to achieve anything.

이러한즉 무엇이 있어서 하늘이 응하겠는가?

  Such being the case, what is there gor Heaven to respond to?

 
오로지 일마다 패망함만이 있는 것이다.

  There is only ruin in every single endeavor.
