전투기 대만의 퇴역한 F-5E/F를 사간 콜롬비아

콜롬비아가 대만이 작년에 퇴역시킨 F-5E/F 18대를 도입할 예정이라고 합니다.

다른 스페인어권 매체의 기사로는 AESA/IRST/RWR 등을 붙여 20년~25년 더 운용할 수 있다고 하네요. 12대 운용중인 A-37B 드래곤플라이 대체용이라고 하고, 금액은 4억 1천만 달러라고 합니다. 내년 6월~7월 중 인도될 예정이라고.. 

홈페이지에 가서 개량 내용을 살펴보니 "F-5E에 저 돈 쓸 바에야 새거 사지!"란 얘기가 나올 만한 패키지일 것 같은데 어떨지 모르겠습니다. 일단 엔진은 안 갈아끼우는 것 같습니다만.

11월 28(현지시각) 콜롬비아 공군은 대만의 퇴역한 F-5E/F 전투기 18대를 구매하여 업그레이드할 계획이라고 타이페이 타임즈에서 보도했다.

대만 공군은 F-5E/F 전투기 대부분을 조종사 훈련용으로 운용하다가 23년 말에 퇴역시켰다.

한편 콜롬비아 공군은 미국 전투기 개조 업체인 타이거 센추리로부터 F-5MR4 애자일 타이거 전투기 18대에 대한 견적

을 받았다고 스페인 군사 웹 사이트 인포데펜사(Infodefensa)가 보도했다.

보도에서 대만의 퇴역한 F-5E/F 전투기를 현대화할 것이라고 밝혔다.

9대의 예비 엔진, 후속 군수 지원 및 훈련 지원을 포함하는 이 계약의 금액은 4억 1,000만 달러에 달한다고 밝혔다.

1996년 앤드류 스코우가 설립한 타이거 센추리는 T-38 및 F-5 항공기의 현대화 및 유지보수를 전문으로 하는 회사다.

타이거 센추리는 대만, 싱가포르, 브라질 및 칠레를 포함한 국가의 F-5 업그레이드를 위해 협력했다.

18대의 전투기가 25년 6월이나 7월까지 콜롬비아에 인도될 것으로 예상된다고 밝혔다.

2028년까지 능동 전자식 스캔 어레이 레이더, 적외선 검색 및 추적 시스템, 레이더 경고 수신기와 같은 현대화 된 장비를

포함하여 블록 3Q 버전으로의 업그레이드를 완료 할 수 있다고 밝혔다.

업그레이드로 전투기기의 수명이 20~25년 더 연장되어 현재 퇴역한 미국 A-37B 드래곤플라이 경공격기를 대체할 수 있다고 밝혔다.

Tiger Century Aircraft has worked with numerous national air forces on upgrades of their F-5E/F fleets, including Taiwan, Singapore, Brazil and Chile.

The Chilean upgrade, called the F-5 Tiger III, was the first to feature TCA’s proprietary structural and systems modification kit to allow these aircraft to be capable of day or night refueling of all internal fuel cells and selected external fuel tanks using the “probe-and-drogue” system. TCA’s proprietary modification kit that transforms single-seat F-5 Fighters into dual-seat, high-performance Lead-In Fighter Trainers. After the modification is completed, the aircraft is given a new designation of TF-5 “Agile Talon” and is positioned to be the natural successor to the USAF T-38 “Talon” for the export market.

FA-50을 사가느냐 마느냐 가지고 기대치가 꽤 큰 나라였는데, 4세대 타이거를 구매한다니 파오공은 오늘도 공쳤는가 봅니다.
크피르 대체 물량이라도 기대해봐야 하는걸까요?

KF-21은 아직 완성도 안 된 기체라 다른 기체들과 대등하게 경쟁이 가능할 지도 의문이고, 갑자기 10여대 물량이 추가되면 한국군 납기가 지연되는 게 아닐까 걱정되기도 하네요..

예산도 상황도 넉넉치 않은 나라인만큼 크피르 대체도 FA-50으로 할 수 있으려나 생각해본겁니다. KF-21은 아직 멀고 멀었겠죠..
