3. 초창기로 돌아가자 - 1

우리 통일교회는 본래 신령과 진리로 출발했습니다. 초창기에 아버님이 목회하실 때는 식구들이 한번 교회에 찾아오게 되면 떠나기를 싶어 했습니다. 부모님과 밤을 새우면서 같이 있고 싶어 했고, 부모님이 바라시는 무슨 일을 해서든지 그렇게 해드리고 싶었습니다.

누가 강요하지 않아도 스스로 그렇게 하던 초창기의 신앙생활이었습니다. 작은 교회였지만 참사랑이 넘쳤고, 서로 하나가 되면서 어려운 시대를 극복해 나왔습니다.

한국교회에는 많은 축복 가정들을 배출해 내면서 잊지 못할 이야기들이 많습니다. 먼저 교회에 들어온 부인의 남편이 협조적이지 않을 때 많이 힘든 일이 있었습니다.

개척을 해야 하는 입장이었기 때문에 남녀노소 할 것 없이 개척하러 나갈 때 가정을 가졌던 부인은 자녀를 고아원에 맡기고 나갈 수밖에 없었던 초창기의 시절이 있었습니다. 그렇게 해서 한국교회가 36가정부터 시작해서 430가정까지 나올 때까지는 많은 희생의 대가를 치르고 섭리가 이뤄질 수 있었습니다.

초창기에 유효원 협회장은 불구의 몸으로 하루 종일 강의만 했습니다. 정상적인 사람이 한두 시간을 강의하더라도 힘든데, 그는 하루 종일 했습니다. 더군다나 그때는 가난했기에 영양 보충도 제대로 못 했습니다. 그때 찾아지고 세워진 것이 36가정입니다. 우리가 36가정을 귀하게 여기는 것도 그런 심정의 뿌리가 그 바탕에서 자랐기 때문입니다.

그래서 한국과 일본, 미국도 뜨거웠던 그 시대, 항상 교회가 사랑으로 넘치던 그때로 돌아가서 새롭게 출발하자는 이야기입니다. 원리 강의가 끊기지 않으며, 수련이 계속되는 교회로 만들겠습니다.

여러분이 마음과 몸을 가다듬어서 부모님 앞에 지금까지 사랑만 받고 못 해 드린 것을 어떻게든지 하나 되어 이뤄드리겠다고 밤잠을 설치면서 노력해야 합니다. 그렇게 해도 시원치 않을 시점입니다. (2012.10.1 천정궁)

3. 草創期に立ち返ろう - 1

私たち統一教会は本来、神霊と真理によって出発しました。草創期にお父様が牧会されていた時は、食口たちは一度教会に訪ねてきたら帰りたがりませんでした。

父母様と夜を明かしながら一緒にいたいと思ったし、父母様が願われることなら、どのようなことをしてでも、そのようにしてさしあげたいと思ったのです。誰かが強要しなくても自らそのようにした草創期の信仰生活でした。小さな教会でしたが、真の愛にあふれ、互いが一つになりながら困難な時代を克服していきました。

韓国（の統一）教会には、多くの祝福家庭を輩出しながら、忘れることのできない話がたくさんあります。先に教会に入教した婦人に対してその夫が協力的でないとき、多くの苦労がありました。

開拓しなければならない立場であったので、老若男女の別なく開拓に出ていくとき、家庭をもっていた婦人は子供を孤児院に預けて出ていかざるを得なかった草創期の時期がありました。そのようにして、韓国教会が36家庭から始まって430家庭になるまでには、多くの犠牲の代価を払って摂理を成してきたのです。

草創期に劉孝元協会長は、障害をもつ体で一日中講義ばかりしました。障害のない人が1、2時間講義するだけでも大変なのに、彼は一日中しました。しかも当時は貧しかったので、栄養補充もまともにできませんでした。その時に復帰されて立てられたのが36家庭です。私たちが36家庭を貴く思うのも、その心情の根がそのような土台で育ったからです。

ですから、韓国と日本、アメリカも、熱かったその時代、常に教会が愛であふれていたその時に立ち返って、新しく出発しようという話です。原理講義が途絶えず、修練が続く教会にしようと思います。

皆さんは、心と体を取り直して、父母様の前に今まで愛を受けてばかりで成し得なかったことを、何としてでも一つとなって成し遂げてさしあげようと、夜も眠れないほどに努力しなければなりません。そのようにしてももの足りない時なのです。（2012.10.1、天正宮博物館）

3. Let’s return to the early times - 1

The Unification Church originated from divine spirit and truth. In the beginning, when Father was ministering, whenever members came to the church, they never wanted to leave. They wanted to stay with True Parents, even if it meant staying up all night.

If there was anything True Father wanted done, members wanted to do it for him. Even without anyone pushing them, back then the members led that kind of life of faith. Though ours was a small church, it was overflowing with love. Everyone was united and we overcame the most difficult of times.

The Korean church produced many blessed families and came to have many unforgettable stories. Married women who had joined the church before their husbands did went through many difficulties when their husbands were unsupportive.

Moreover, we were all in a position where we had to go out to pioneer; everyone had to go, regardless of age or sex. Women who had families had to do pioneer witnessing as well ; to do that, some even left their children in orphanages. In this way, from the time of the 36 Couples Blessing until the 430 Couples Blessing, Korean church members made many sacrifices in order to advance God's providence.

In those early days, our church president Rev. Eu Hyo-won gave lectures all day long, even though he suffered physical disabilities. Even healthy people find it difficult to lecture for an hour or two, let alone all day long.

Not only that—we were too poor to have proper food at that time, so he was malnourished. Despite such difficulties people joined the church and we blessed the 36 Couples. We need to cherish the 36 Couples because they are the root of heart ; membership multiplied based on the foundation of the 36 Couples.

Therefore, all of us, including members in Korea, Japan and the United States, need to return to that beginning time when we were passionate and our church constantly overflowed with true love.

We must begin anew. Accordingly, we will have Divine Principle taught continuously in our churches and have workshops continuously.

You should pull yourselves together mentally and physically, and do whatever it takes to unite and fulfill what you were unable to do for the Parents—what you were unable to do though you only received love until now—even if it means making effort, spending sleepless nights.
