아직 새내기 중학생인 우리 민정이가 올 해 첫 번째 발표 작품으로 '화산폭발'을 선택했습니다.

집에서 가족들 앞에서 하는 발표라고 해서 결코 만만치 않습니다. 학원에서 이미 한 번 발표했지만, 오빠들의 날카로운 영어질문에 멈춰 버린 민정이..ㅋㅋ

오빠들의 도움을 받아 영작하고 파워포인트를 만들어 보고 노력했지만 아직도 어설픔니다. 그래도 열심히 노력하는 모습이 기특합니다.

Title: volcanic eruptions

We think volcanic eruption is scary thing, But we don’t know what is it
So, we are going to learn about volcanic eruption
what is volcano? It is a mountain made of eruption of magma.

volcano is divided in to three kinds. first, a dormant volcano, it is a reasting volcano. Baekdu mountain, Halla mountain, Helen mountain are dormant volcano.

second, an extinct volcano, it is a dead volcano. Mudeung mountain, Chilbo mountain are extinct volcano.

third, a active volcano, it is volcanoes where volcanic activity is occurring, Rainier mountain, Shasta mountain, Vesuvio mountain are active volcano.
And magma is the melting of rock below the surface.

The explosion of this magma through cracks in the earth’s surface is called a volcanic eruption.

what happens if there are volcanic eruption? when it happen, it makes volcanic gas like CO2, HCL, H2S, H2, CH4. If you drink volcanic gas will have gas poisoning.

Buildings collapse and residents lost their home, many people hurt and die.
Also volcanic gas, volcanic ash are hide the sun, so the weather is cold, animal and plants are froze to death.

At sea, a wave made from volcanic eruption makes tsunami. And the volcanic gas covers surface, so a water plants can’t photosynthesis, and wilt.
Then volcanic eruption is very dangerous for not only human but also animals and plants.

But volcanic eruption isn’t always bad. A hot spring develops because magma in volcano is very hot. we can generate electricity using this heat.
Volcanic ash fertilizes soil so to make the farm grow well.

Finally, I will introduce sign before volcanic eruption.

Before volcanic eruption, gas climbs, occur earthquake often, the volcano is growls, animals are strange behave. dogs bark and fish flot on the water.
