2 Corinthians 11 Contents
2 Corinthians 11 speaks of the difference between servants of Christ and servants of Satan.
We must recognize that education is a humanistic discipline.
Counseling and psychology emerge from education.
Some priests and popular speakers today, using these two theories, read the hearts of their audiences and speak on their behalf, gaining their sympathy.
But when you ask them how that happened, they can't answer.
Romans 7 is about discovering that while the law is the divine word of God, the human body is weak because of sin, and we only have the will to do something, but are unable to do it because of that sin.
Current faith is the coexistence of rationality and irrationality, and that people handle the rational aspects ourselves and leave the irrational aspects to God through faith.
People can assume that God is dependent on us, or we can turn into faith that says, "God, we will handle it ourselves, so please help us, and if we fall, please lift us up again."
God's zeal did not begin when we began to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord.
It began according to His plan from before the creation of the world, and Christ, while we were still enemies, was crucified, thereby demonstrating His love to all the world.
Therefore, if you understand the meaning of born again, you will avoid the foolishness of daring to say you have chosen Jesus Christ as Lord and believe that you can still obey His Word, as if you possess sovereignty over your actions.
Satan's servants boast about the flesh. Yet, not only is this accepted, but people of this age even consider it a good thing.
They are stars who inspire and arouse admiration, earning applause from others.
Paul also says in verse 18, "Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also." However, he does not follow the Lord, but tells us to accept this as foolishness (verse 17).
He then goes on to detail his own physical origins and status, recounting the suffering and persecution he has endured while preaching the gospel.
Yet, the conclusion is in verse 30: "If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities."
He then tells the story of how weak he was in Damascus, when the officials of King Aretas were about to arrest him, and he let himself down in a basket through a window in the city wall and escaped (verses 32-33).
He humbles himself by saying that he escaped from Damascus in a miserable state because he had to survive in that way to fulfill his remaining mission.
Paul seeks to block the opportunity for those who do not possess the mystery of Christ to gain recognition (verse 12), and instead seeks to preach only the gospel of truth.
This is because false apostles, deceitful workers, disguise themselves as apostles of Christ (verse 13).
How many workers of the Lord in this age know the new covenant that Christ is in us, and through the Spirit of truth, know the way to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow the Lord to the Father?
Would you explain the process and method by which sinners, born again through the grace of Christ's atoning cross and have eternal life, approach God the Father through Christ, the way, the truth, and the life?
Many people, like Satan disguising himself as an angel of light, are acting as if they can obtain God's righteousness on their own, becoming Satan's workers.
Their end will be according to their works (v. 15).
It's impossible to count how many workers of the Lord have failed to resolve the issue of death, groaning in illness as a result, and then, after completing their final task on their sickbeds, they return to the Lord.
They simply don't know it.
Listening to what they say, you quickly realize that they don't know the truth and are thus unable to receive the supply of life.
Christ's servants boast about their weaknesses and their mission to match people to Christ.
Paul says in verse 2, "I am jealous over you with godly jealousy, for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
Christ's workers must be equipped with the power of the gospel that enables sinners to believe in the atoning death of Christ on the cross and his being raised, repentance, and receive forgiveness of sins through and baptism, and call upon the name of the Lord who sits on the throne as Lord, and attain salvation by calling on his name.
Only when we proclaim the mystery of becoming one with the Son and the Father in the anointing of the Holy Spirit can revelation come, and espouse to become the bride of Christ, just like ourselves.
Paul, having seen the third heaven, wrote about the mystery of Christ and the church, as in Ephesians, so that by God's grace we may become one spirit with Christ, one bread and one body, and approach God the Father and become his house.
Therefore, as a new creation born again in Christ, living not for myself but for Christ, my only boast is my own weakness. It is self-denial.
He does not live according to the flesh to show off his own righteousness, but because he died with Christ, and because the basis, value, and meaning of his life with Christ are hidden in God, he, as a person died with Christ, seeks the things above (Col 3:1), always being sober and alert, aware of his weakness, and looking to the Lord.
Just as a thirsty deer longs for water, just as a watchman waits for the morning, just as a servant girl watches her mistress's hand, so in the Holy Spirit, following the truth, with a broken heart, we look to the Lord and find new strength.
While we were baby in the flesh, we prayed, "Help me, bless me, give me strength." As we become one with Christ and belong to heaven, we pray to approach the throne of God's grace, by the Spirit of truth. As a result, the Word becomes mixed in us, and our actions are transformed.
