(English)
The current times are such that the laws of nature are closing in on the destiny of Sindoan; therefore, I intend to explain the spiritual energy of Mt. Gyeryong through the place name of Sindoan, a land that has been handed down as a secret since ancient times.
The meaning of Gyeryong has been mentioned several times. It means that through the eldest daughter’s Sun-gye and the eldest son’s Jin-ryong, they will serve as the Son of Heaven of the future Later Heaven, replacing the Heavenly Parents—Hanul Father (Old Father) and Earth Mother (Old Mother)—in the meaning of the I Ching.
Regarding the meaning of Sindoan, it was explained that the new Later Heaven capital city will likewise become the land where the destiny of a peaceful world is realized. Place names such as Jongno-teo and Dongmun-dari exist because the site was intended to be the capital of Joseon for 500 years; however, construction was halted midway because it was deemed unsuitable as the capital.
The reasons were, firstly, that the site was too narrow for a capital; secondly, that there was a shortage of water for the city's residents; and thirdly, that its location relatively south of the Korean Peninsula made it difficult to govern the entire nation. However, regarding it as the capital of the Later Heaven, firstly, not only is the population significantly reduced, but Sindoan is also a special land of the High-Dimensional Age of Immortal Civilization where only Great Taoists can enter; secondly, water shortages can be resolved with the water of the Geum River; and thirdly, the fortune aligns with the time when the spiritual energy of Mt. Gyeryong manifests. It was also mentioned that there are mountain peaks of Confucian, Buddhist, and Taoist origins, such as the Confucian place names Cheonhwangbong, Cheonwangbong, Jejabong, Guksabong, and Janggunbong, the Buddhist names Sambulbong and Gwanumbong, and the Taoist names Sinseonbong and Sujeongbong. Among the names of the surrounding mountains, Gocheongbong was named because the tomb of Seo Go-cheong, a Taoist practitioner of the Joseon Dynasty, is located there, while Hwangjeoksan is a name that was altered from Hwanghaksan.
Hyangjeoksan means that ash accumulated because many Taoists, including Master Kim Il-bu, burned a lot of incense while practicing their spiritual disciplines. Sirubong Peak is located to the east of Kunlun Village and has the shape of a steamer; it is connected to the talented individuals of the Eastern Wood Bureau who will embody the spirit of Jeungsan Sangje.
Janggu Peak, represented by the janggu—a musical instrument made of cowhide and horsehidepoints to the principle of the ox and horse. Geumsubong Peak, located outside Sindoan, is a propitious burial site associated with the legend of the Jade Maiden weaving silk; its name is derived from the characters for silk and embroidery. Dodeokbong Peak, which houses Sutonggul Cave, is a renowned mountain where the Hall Master received a divine book on a summer day in the Gyeong-o year; it is a place of fame that will eventually restore the world to righteous morality and establish a world of true humans. Mt. Bingye, shaped like a hen embracing her chicks, is the mountain behind Hakha-dong, which serves as the foundation of the post-heavenly Yin-way world. Hakha-dong was identified as the "One Place Among the Three Great Yang-dwelling Auspicious Sites" surrounding Mt. Gyeryong. This is the reason why Monk Tanheo, a disciple of Monk Han-am of Mt. Odae, built Jagwangsa Temple here and exhibited his master Han-am's relics. Gaphasan is the guardian mountain where the second national cemetery was established. It gave rise to the neighborhood name Gapdong and the river name Gapcheon. Usanbong means a mountain shaped like an open umbrella. It also signifies receiving the bounty of rain and dew from Taejeon. The dragon vein descending from the summit of Cheonhwangsan, the main peak of the mountain behind Sindoan, gave birth to Jejabong Peak, which is shaped like a flying dragon ascending to heaven or a flying phoenix holding an egg. To the left and right of the dragon vein descending to Jejabong Peak, there are waterfalls representing Yin and Yang, known as Sutyongchu and Amryongchu, with reservoirs located beneath each waterfall. As for the village name, Jeongjang-ri means vigorously young and valiant; it signifies that the village harbors the vital energy of the mountains and rivers, enabling the elderly to become youthful and strong young men.
Gaepan-ri has already been explained. In a chaotic world, the master of the dogs emerges to overturn the game board and usher in the era of the ox.
Seokgye-ri means that clear water flows from the stream descending from the rocky mountain of Gyeryongsan, symbolizing that it is a place where upright and incorruptible talent will enter. The secret of Gyeryong Seokbaek has also been handed down.
Bunam-ri essentially means "south" and signifies a "man of the south"—representing the Southern Three-Fire Fire (Nambang Samrihwa). It would not be an exaggeration to interpret this as the land where a great man of the world will emerge. This is especially true because it is the land beneath Nojeokbong (also known as Barangbong), which will serve as the command center for the divine army during the upcoming divine battle of Gaebyeok. Below that is Namseon-ri. It is a village of military families, and it houses elementary, middle, and high schools. Meaning "Southern Immortal," it is a place name that foretells that immortals will enter the area south of Mt. Gyeryong in the future.
It is special that the village name includes Kunlun. I have already explained that while the center of the Earth in the Pre-Heaven era was the Kunlun Mountains, in the Post-Heaven era, the Kunlun neighborhood—a Yangtaekji (auspicious residential site) located beneath Mt. Gyeryong in Sindoan, South Korea, situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Eurasian continent—will become the center of the world.
Geumgye-dong means "Golden Rooster Hatching Eggs," and Yongdong-ri means "the village to the east of the dragon soaring to the heavens." Sangwon likely means "foremost," as this is the land destined to become the best in the world. Angol signifies the inner village of the new capital, Jineung means "possessing great wisdom," and Jindeung is interpreted as a true lamp, signifying a place that will become the light of the world.
The site of Jongno signifies the central hub of the capital, and Jangjateo refers to the eldest son of the eldest son of Jin, meaning the site of the wealthiest person. Dongmundal means reaching the eastern gate of the capital.
