One airman was killed; another was injured,” <a href="https://www.facebook.com/HishammuddinH2O/posts/444841323677664" target="_top" class="ke-link">Hishammuddin said in a brief Facebook post</a> late last night.</p><p>“The RMAF has been ordered to submit a detailed report and investigate the cause of the accident immediately,” he added, before extending his condolences to the family of the airman who was killed.</p><p>“The Ministry of Defence has been ordered to provide all the necessary assistance to the families of the two airmen involved.”</p><p>The RMAF had issued a brief statement at 11.23pm last night confirm‎ing the incident, saying that it wanted to dispel any speculation over the incident.</p><p>“The RMAF is taking immediate action now and will reveal the latest development with regards to the incident soon,” it read.</p><p>The RMAF advised the public to refrain from spreading any fake news or speculation about the incident.</p>

첫댓글 밤에 활주로에서 난 사고라고 하니 아마도 착륙하는 훈련을 하다가 난 것 같습니다.
참고로 Butterworth는 1980년대 후반까지 오스트렐리아공군 Mirage IIIO 부대가 있던 곳입니다.
기지 이름만 보고서 말레이 공군이 영국이나 호주에 위탁교육 갔다가 사고났나 했었습니다.
@위종민 말레이 반도 북쪽에 있는 기지인데 1970년 말레이시아 지도자들은 위기가 발생하면 오스트렐리아군은 싸우지 않고 먼저 철수할 것이라고 생각하고 있었습니다.
