Muslim leaders have stepped up their efforts to keep their sacred spaces and comunity members safe

This follows a spate of vandalism reports at Mosques in Texas and California.

Many American Muslim say the Islamic Hamas war has made their life difficult. 

Images of death, destructure and ongoing starvation in Gaza have taken a toll, as has a rise in anti-muslim and anti-Palestinian bigotory in the U.S.

The Council on American-ISlamic relations says nationally its offices received nearly 8,700 complaints last year.

Employment discrimination was the most common complaint.
