FairMUN students took on Taylor’s University Model United Nations

What happens when you put your ideas to the test? You grow.

Our FairMUN students took on Taylor’s University Model United Nations, stepping into challenging debates, defending their positions, working with fellow delegates, and thinking on their feet.

Their efforts earned some well-deserved recognition: Areez (DP2) received Best Delegate in UNEP, while Aarushi (M5), Sarida (DP1), Amir (DP1), Arissa (M5) and Natrah (M5) each received Verbal Commendations or an Honourable Mention across UNEP, UNODC and IPC.

But MUN is about more than awards. It challenges students to speak with confidence, listen to perspectives they may disagree with, and find ways forward when the conversation gets difficult. That’s what learning at Fairview looks like: developing skills and confidence that go beyond the classroom.

우리 FairMUN 학생들은 테일러 대학교 모의 유엔에 도전하며 어려운 토론에 참여하고, 자신의 입장을 옹호하며, 동료 대표들과 협력하고, 즉각적으로 판단하는 능력을 발휘했습니다.

그들의 노력은 마땅한 인정을 받았습니다: 아리즈(DP2)는 UNEP에서 최우수 대표상을 받았으며, 아루시(M5), 사리다(DP1), 아미르(DP1), 아리사(M5), 나트라(M5)는 각각 UNEP, UNODC, IPC에서 구두 표창 또는 우수상에 선정되었습니다.

하지만 MUN은 상 이상의 의미를 가집니다. 학생들이 자신 있게 말하고, 의견이 다를 수 있는 관점도 경청하며, 대화가 어려워질 때 해결책을 찾도록 도전합니다. 페어뷰에서의 학습이란 바로 교실을 넘어선 기술과 자신감을 키우는 것입니다.
