Our activities are, as
said before:
Giving recruitment
information in general and to individuals. Besides this our other tasks are:
Giving information on
schools about the opportunities you have with a specific education.
Maintaining a net work for
example with the deans of the schools, the Centres for Work and Income,
Governmental and Non-Governmental
institutions that operate with unemployed youngsters
And participating in
regional activities such as job fairs, open days etc

The last significant way
to recruit new personnel is by a civil-military training & education
program.
This program is active
since 1995 and was designed specially for the group of people leaving school
with a diploma on the age of 16. They are
to young to apply for a job (they must be 17), so chances are big that we loose
them to other employers. To keep
their interest for another year and get a head start at their military training,
we recruit them for a civil – military
training and education program. They study and are trained for a job, for
example mechanic, and in the time not needed for
this study, they are trained in some military basic skills.
The target for 2007 is
2400 students. From this 2400 approximately 60% gets a civil and military
diploma and from this 60% another 60% joins
the army as a soldier or sergeant.
Because of the partial
basic training that these recruits already had during their year of civil -
military training, they are excused for the first
four weeks of basic military training and a part of their military job training.
In the period we still had
conscripts we only had to recruit enough volunteer NCO’s and officers. Now we
have to recruit all functions in
our army on a voluntary base. Although our army has become much smaller, we must
recruit twice as many people.
There are no conscripts
anymore who decides to stay in the army after their conscript period on a
voluntary base.
The population of
potential available young people decreases.
More and more young people
choose to study longer before getting a job.
And because of our good
economy, their are sufficient jobs to choose from so the competition with other
employers is hard.

The numbers you see in the
row requests for information are not the same as the people we actually talk to,
but we do have to administrate
them thus giving us work.

recruiting were and probably will stay:
