Mark 8

8:27 Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. 

예수와 그의 제자들은 가이사랴 빌립보 근처에 있는 촌락(마을)로 갔다.

On the way he asked them, "Who do people say I am?"

도중에 그는 "사람들은 내가 누구라고 말하느냐?"하고 그들(제자들)에게 물으셨다.

8:28 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; 그들이 대답하기를 "몇몇은 세례요한이라고 말합니다. 

others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets."

다른 사람들은 엘리야, 그리고 여전히 다른 사람들은 선지자들 중에 하나라고 합니다. 

8:29 "But what about you?" he asked. "그러나 너희들은 어떤가?" 하고 그가 물으셨다.

"Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ."

"너희는 내가 누구라고 말(생각)하는가?" 베드로가 대답하기를 "당신은 그리스도이십니다."라고 했다.

8:30 Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him.

예수께서 그에 대하여 어떤 사람에게도 말하지 않도록 그들에게 경고했다.

8:31 He then began to teach them 

그래서 그는 그들을 가르치기 시작하셨다.

that the Son of Man must suffer many things 인자(사람의 아들)가 많은 것들로 고난을 받아야만 하며

and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, 

장로들과 대제사장들과 율법 교사들에 의하여 거부되어야만 하며

and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.

그는 죽임을 당해야 하며 삼일 후에 다시 살아나야만 한다는 것을

해석 - 그래서 그는 "인자가 많은 것들로 고난받고 장로들과 대제사장들과 율법교사들에 의해 거부되어 죽임을 당해야 하며 삼일 후에 다시 살아나야만 한다."는 것을 그들에게 가르치기 시작하셨다.

8:32 He spoke plainly about this, 그는 이것에 대해 명백히 말씀하시고

and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 

베드로는 그를 한편으로 데리고 가서 그를 꾸짖기 시작했다.

해석 - 그는 이것에 대해 명백히 말씀하셨으므로 베드로는 그(예수)를 한편으로 데리고 가서 꾸짖기 시작했다.

8:33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter.

그러나 예수께서 돌이키셔서 그의 제자들을 보셨을 때 그는 베드로를 꾸짖었다.

 "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "사탄아 내 뒤로 물러가라."라고 그는 말했다.

"You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

"너는 하나님의 일들을 마음에 두지 않고(생각지 않고) 사람의 일을 마음에 두는구나."

8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: 

그때 그는 군중(무리)들을 그의 제자들과 함게 그에게 불러서 말하기를 

"If anyone would come after me, 만일 어떤 사람이 나를 따라오려면

he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

그는 그 자신을 부인하고 그의 십자가를 취하여 나를 따라야만 한다.

8:35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, 

그의(자신의) 생명을 구하기를 원하는 누구든지 잃어버릴 것이나 

but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.

누구든지 자신의 생명을 나와 복음을 위하여 잃으면 그 생명을 구할 것이다. 

8:36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

온세상을 얻었으나 자신의 생명을 상실한다면 사람에게 무슨 유익(선)이 있을 것인가?

8:37 Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

또는 무엇으로 사람이 그의 영혼을 위해 바꾸어 줄 수 있겠는가?

8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, 

만일 어떤 사람이 음란하고 죄악된 세대에서 나와 내 말을 부끄러워한다면

the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

인자가 거룩한 천사들과 함께 아버지의 영광으로 올 때 인자는 그를 부끄러워할 것이다.
