A Field of growth (약사 전망)
약사에 대한 수요는 병원 및 클리닉을 포함한 다양한 의료 분야에서 증가할 것으로 예상됩니다. 이 수요 증가의 이유는 베이비붐 세대가 노화 됨에 따라 나이 든 사람이 젊은 사람보다 더 많은 약 처방을 받는 거와 모든 연령층에서 당뇨병과 같은 질병의 비율이 높기 때문입니다. 그리고 더 많은 사람들이 보험 혜택을 받음으로써 더 많은 약사들이 처방 약을 조제하며 환자와의 의약품 상담이 필요하기 때문입니다. 약사는 환자의 혈당이나 콜레스테롤 수치 검사뿐만 아니라 환자에게 처방 된 약품을 감독하며 환자 치료를 제공하여야 합니다. 
Demand for pharmacists is projected to grow in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals and clinics. This demand is due in part to the aging baby boom generation, since older people typically use more prescription medicines than younger people, as well as higher rates of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, among all age groups. And as more people have access to insurance coverage, more pharmacists will be needed to fill their prescriptions and to consult with patients about their medications. Pharmacists will be needed in to oversee medications prescribed to patients as well as to provide patient care, including testing a patient's blood sugar or cholesterol.

Well-prepared (준비성)

약사는 U.S. News'의 전 산업 분야의 높은 연봉 직업 순위에서 18위에 있으며 이는 평균 이상의 사회적 상승으로 이어지는 승진 및 연봉의 기회 때문입니다. 미국의 노동 통계청(U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)에 따르며 2015년 4월 미국 약사의 평균 연봉은 $121,500이었으며 상위 10%는 $154,040를 받았습니다. 
Pharmacists rank #18 in U.S. News' list of the best paying jobs across all industries, due in part of opportunities for advancement and salary leading to above average upward mobility. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for pharmacists was $121,500 in May 2015, with the highest 10 percent earning $154,040.

Job satisfaction (직업 만족도)
약사는 U.S. News'의 2016년 최고의 의료 분야 직업 순위에서 21위를 차지 하였으며 2016년 최고 직업 100위 순위에서 36위를 하였습니다. 직업은 연봉, 예상 일자리 수, 승진 기회 그리고 직업 성취도를 포함한 규정하기 어려운 다양한 요인을 제공할 수 약사의 능력에 따라 순위가 매겨졌습니다.
