Bramwell Tovey

Bramwell Tovey는 1953년 영국에서 태어난 작곡가 겸 지휘자이다.

영국 로열 음악 아카데미에서 피아노와 작곡을 전공한 그는 학창 시절부터 지휘와 투바도 함께 배운다.

22세때인 1975년 런던 페스트벌 발레에서 지휘를 경험한 그는 1984-88년 Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet에

수석 지휘자로 1989-2001년 Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra 수석 지휘자로 2000년 카나다 벤쿠버 심포니

오케스트라 음악감독으로 임명되어 2018/19 시즌까지 계약을 연장하며 장기 집권 하고있다.

그는 작곡가로도 많은 작품을 남기고 작곡가로 활동을 하고있다.
