Part 2. Revelation
Revelation 3:14~22 - To the Church in Laodicea - Lukewarm faith and naked church, Receiving Only Rebuke and discipline from Jesus
Revelation 3:14~22 – The Background and Meaning of Christian Historical Perspective, Mid 19th to end of 21th century, 1844~2099, Naked and shameful Church
○ The historical background of Christianity is from the middle of the 19th century to the end of the 21st century, namely, from 1,844 to 2,099. Since Jesus was born in BC(B) 6 at Pisces (or The Fish, BC 60~AD 2,099), I am looking it until the year 2,099 when Pisces ends. Then Aquarius (or The Water-Bearer, AD 2,100~4,159) begins. In this Aquarius, the era of the opening of the heaven and the earth shall come, which we commonly say. It will change from God-centered to human-centered, and the era of abundance is coming without lack. I have already mentioned this in detail in <Bible Matrix_⑥>.
○ The churches and Christians from 1,844 to 2,099 are (or will be) similar to the type of the early church in Laodicea (AD 27~100). They say they believe in God the Father and Jesus, but their faith is lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, neither believing nor disbelieving. The lukewarm faith originates from the status that “I am rich. I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing”(NIV) (Revelation 3:17).
○ If I am rich in the age of abundance, I don't need God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of heaven (or paradise), but Christians of this era (1844~2099) are very smart people, so they are not saying that they don’t need God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of heaven. Necessary but not necessary, not necessary but necessary. So it is a lukewarm faith. A lukewarm faith has no true actions (or act).
○ As I will discuss later, and as I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_132>, <Bible Matrix ⑦_205>, and <Bible Matrix ⑦_211>, the actions means clothes or linen. So, they have no clothes to wear, namely, they are naked(Revelation 3:17). Therefore, Jesus is delivering the message of warning and rebuking the naked and shameful churches. ‘Naked’ is the right parable that fits the churches and Christians today.
○ In other words, it refers to the current and future churches or Christians who are very conceited because they like money and material things, they have lot of things, and they are calculating and very smart. ○ However, the pattern of the early church in Laodicea will be repeated countless times until Jesus is coming again c.AD 10,740~. Remember that history repeats itself.
