We wanted to showcase the CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) experiences of our teachers outside of their working hours to inspire our learners in their own CAS journeys! Today, we are featuring Mr Oisin, the Head of Science here at Nexus and his passion for Gaelic football.
Gaelic football has been a big part of Mr Oisin's life for almost 25 years now. The sport is tied to his memories of going to matches with his father, who was a Gaelic football coach in Ireland. Not only that, Mr Oisin's uncles also had matches often, which inspired his growing passion for the sport.
Not only has Gaelic football helped Mr Oisin keep in shape, it has also bolstered in him a sense of community as the sport allows him to meet different people and even travel to various sporting events. While Gaelic football is a sport where injuries happen more often than not, Mr Oisin shares that the challenge is a great reminder to himself to stay fit and healthy. We hope Mr Oisin's passion for Gaelic football inspires our learners to pursue their own CAS experiences. Stay tuned for more videos on CAS!
