Bible Reading - Romans 7:9~16

7:9 Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.

전에는 율법과 상관없이 살았으나, 계명이 오자 죄가 살아나고 나는 죽었다.

7:10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.

나는 생명을 가져오도록 의도되었던 바로 그 계명이 실제로는 사망을 가져왔다는 것을 발견했다.

7:11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.

계명이 준 기회를 포착함으로 죄는 나를 속였고 그 계명을 통해 나를 죽게 했다.

7:12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

그래서 율법은 거룩하고 계명도 거룩하고 의롭고 선하다.

7:13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? 

그러면 선한 그것이 나에게 사망이 되었는가?

By no means!  그렇지 않다.

But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, 죄가 죄로서 인정될 수 있기 위하여 

it produced death in me through what was good, 그것이 선한 것을 통해 내 안에서 사망을 산출했다.

so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

그리하여 계명을 통해 죄가 더욱더 죄가 되게 하려고.

7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; 우리는 율법이 영적이라는 것을 알지만 

but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 나는 영적이지 않으며 죄에게 노예로서 팔렸다.

7:15 I do not understand what I do. 나는 내가 하는 것을 이해하지 못한다.

For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

내가 하기를 원하는 것은 하지 않고 내가 하기를 미워하는 것을 한다.

7:16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

그리고 만일 내가 하기를 원치 않는 것을 한다면 나는 율법이 선하다는 것을 동의한다.
