Immersing students in the amazing wildlife of Penang

As part of the POWIIS project, the POWIIS teachers took 17 students to the Habitat Foundation sited at the top of Penang Hill as the first part of an 8 week module designed to introduce students to the amazing and abundant wildlife to be found in this area. Follow up sessions will include helping with conservation and tree planting and an in depth look at some of the more unusual and interesting animal and plant species.

We will also study the ecology of other local habitats such as mangroves and coral reefs. The students enjoyed the very educational session at the Habitat! We look forward to the development of this project.
