Developing the Eyes to See

“The early childhood educator is sometimes a "magician," a "priestess" or "priest" who sings form into being”. This was the opening picture Dr. Gerald Karnow shared with the early childhood educators at the February 2009 East Coast Early Childhood Conference. He described how he had observed kindergarten classes where he saw apparent chaos while the children played. Yet the chaos was highly structured. Within it he could perceive developing organs of interacting groups, mobile flow forms, messes, battles, and intimate relationships developing. When the

chaos lost its organization for a moment, the teacher sang a song. The children suddenly moved into a circle and heard a story from which they moved to put the room into perfect order. 'The children knew just what to do. When he sees this in an early childhood class, it is utter, beautiful magic.

These experiences reminded Dr. Karnow of an image from Rudolf Steiner's lectures, Cosmic Memory. A priestess sings to a group of people. 'They move in relationship to what she sings, and the song deeply impresses itself into those who listen. Something is structured through the song into these human beings. Recalling the thoughts presented from the previous year, Dr. Karnow re-emphasized that everything the children experience in our classes literally forms their physical being-as well as their social and psychical being-for the rest of life. Our intention and responsibility as educators is to connect what the children have brought from the past with lawful activities to form and guide their future. To do this rightly, we must find ways through our inner development to become priestly.

The guidance to achieve this comes to us through spiritual science, Anthroposophy. In the "teaching bibles," Study of Man (or The Foundations of Human Experience) and Curative Developing the eyes to see, N. Blanning IASWECE Newsletter December 2024 Education (Education for Special Needs), Rudolf Steiner gives a reality-based understanding of the human being that embraces our spiritual nature as well as the sense-perceptible form. Deeply studying these works gives us common ground for building Waldorf education communities. Through time, humanity has become more distant from the divine worlds. Anthroposophy offers us means to re-establish that connection and to work for redemption of the human being from the materialistic picture that dominates today. This requires conscious study and disciplines will to grasp these ideas and bring them into actual practice. This can give us enormous enthusiasm in perceiving the priestly task of the early childhood educator. Yet, cautioned Dr. Karnow, enthusiasm must be filled with real content. Without content, things become sentimental. The children do not need sentimental educators, but ones grounded in spiritual-scientific knowledge.

유이교육자는 때때로 "마법사" "여사제" 또는 ":사제" 소러 형태를 노래하여 존재로 만드는 사람입니다. 

이것은 제럴드 카나우 박사가 2009년 2월 동부 해안 유아 컨퍼런스에서 유아교육자들과 공유한 오프닝 사진입니다. 

그는 아이들이 노는 동안 명백한 혼란을 목격하는 유치원 수업을 어떻게 관찰했는지 설명했습니다. 

그 안에서 그는 상호작용하는 그룹의 기관, 이동흐름형태, 혼란, 전투, 친밀한 관계가 발달하는 것을 인식할 수 있었습니다. 

혼란이 잠시 정리를 잃었을 때 선생님은 노래를 불렀습니다. 

아이들은 갑자기 원을 그리며 움직였고 방을 완벽하게 정리하기 위해 움직임 이야기를 들었습니다. 

그가 유아수업에서 이것을 볼 때 그것은 완전하고 아름다운 마법입니다. 

이러한 경험들은 카노우 박사에게 루돌프 슈타이너의 강의인 " 우주기억" 의 이미지를 떠올리게 했습니다. 

한 여사제가 한 무리의 사람들에게 노래를 부릅니다. 

그들은 그녀가 부르는 노래에 따라 움직이며 노래는 듣는 사람들에게 깊은 인상을 남깁니다. 

노래를 통해 무언가가 이 인간들에게 구조화됩니다. 

작년에 제시된 생각들을 떠올리며 카나우 박사는 우리 수업에서 아이들이 경험하는 모든 것이 말 그대로 그들의 신체적 존재뿐만 아이라 사회적, 심리적 존재를 형성한다는 점을 다시 한 번 강조했습니다. 

교육자로서 우리의 의도와 책임은 아이들이 과거로부터 가져온 것을 합법적인 활동과 연결하여 그들의 미래를 형성하고 안내하는 것입니다. 

이를 올바르게 수행하려면 내면의 발전을 통햐 사제가 될 수 있는 방법을 찾아야 합니다. 

이를 달성하기 위한 지침은 영적 과학인 인류학을 통해 우리에게 다가옵니다. 

"교제성경" 인간에 대한 연구 (또는 인간경험의 기초)및 치료적 관점개발,  N. Blanning IASWECE 뉴스레터 2024년 12월 교육 (특별한 필요를 위한 교육 )에서 루돌프 슈타이너는 유리의 영적 본성과 감각적으로 인식되는 형태를 포용하는 인간에 대한 현실 기반 이해를 제시합니다. 

이 작품들을 깊이 연구하면 발도르프 교육 커뮤니티를 구축할 수 있는 공통점을 얻을 수 있습니다. 

시간이 지난에 따라 인류는 신성한 세게로부터 더 멀어졌습니다. 

인류학은 오늘날 지배적인 물질주의적, 그림에서 인간을 구원하기 위해 그 연결을 재정립하고 노력할 수 있는 수단을 제공합니다. 

이를 위해서는 이러한 아이디어를 파악하고 실제 실천에 옮기리 수 있는 의식적인 연구와 훈련의지가 필요합니다. 

이것은 유아 교육자의 사제적을 인식하는데 엄청난 열정을 줄 수 있습니다. 

하지만 카나우 박사는 열정은 진정한 콘텐츠로 채워져야 한다고 경고했습니다. 콘텐츠가 없으면 모든 것이 감상적으로 변합니다. 

아이들은 감성교육자가 아니라 영적 과학지식에 기반한 교육자가 필요합니다.
