大方廣佛華嚴經卷第四 The Flower Ornament Scripture     一.世主妙嚴品 1. The Wonderful Adornments of the Leaders of the Worlds     七, 大衆의 得法과 讚佛 함께한 대중들이 부처님의 덕을 찬탄하다.   3, 十行位衆십행위(十行位)를 표한 대중들이 찬탄하다   (10) 第一行의 主稼神 제1행을 표한 주가신이 찬탄하다.         가, 主稼神衆의 得法주가신과 그 대중들이 얻은 법     ①復次柔軟勝味主稼神은 得與一切衆生法滋味하야 令成就佛身解脫門하고 時華淨光主稼神은 得能令一切衆生으로 受廣大喜樂解脫門하고   Furthermore, the crop spirit Gentle Superb Flavor found the door of liberation bestowing rich flavor on all sentient beings, causing them to develop a buddha-body. Crop-ruling Spirit Pure Light of Seasonal Blooms gained a passage into liberation of bringing tremendous joy and happiness to all sentient beings.<B.T.T.S.번역본>     ②色力勇健主稼神은 得以一切圓滿法門으로 淨諸境界解脫門하고 增益精氣主稼神은 得見佛大悲無量神通變化力解脫門하고   The crop spirit Physical Strength Courage and Health found the door of liberation purifying all realms by means of all round, complete teachings. Crop-ruling Spirit Increasing Essence and Energy gained a passage into liberation of seeing the Buddha's great compassion and his boundless power of spiritual penetrations and transformations. <B.T.T.S.번역본>   ③普生根果主稼神은 得普現佛福田하야 令下種無失壞解脫門하고 妙嚴環髻主稼神은 得普發衆生의 淨信華解脫門하고   The crop spirit Everywhere Producing Roots and Fruits found the door of liberation everywhere revealing the Buddha's field of blessings and causing seeds planted there not to spoil. The crop spirit Wonderfully Adorned Circular Topknot : 묘엄환계(妙嚴環髻)주가신 the flower of pure faith :신심의 꽃 everywhere to bloom v.널리 피게 하는   Crop-ruling Spirit Universally Producing Roots and Fruits gained a passage into liberation of universally manifesting the Buddhas' fields of blessings and enabling beings to plant indestructible seeds. Crop-ruling Spirit Accomplishing Wonderful Fragrance gained a passage into liberation of extensively explaining all methods of practice. <B.T.T.S.번역본>   ⑤見者愛樂主稼神은 得能令法界一切衆生으로 捨離懈怠憂惱等하야 諸普淸淨解脫門하고 離垢光明主稼神은 得觀察一切衆生善根하야 隨應說法하야 令衆會歡喜滿足解脫門하시니라   The crop spirit Like by All who See found the door of liberation able to cause all sentient beings in the universe to abandon such ills as sloth and anxiety and to becomes pure in all ways. The crop spirit Pure Light found the door of liberation observing the good roots of all sentient beings, explaining the truth to them in appropriate ways, bringing joy and fulfillment to the masses.<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   견자애락(見者愛樂)주가신은 법계의 모든 중생에게 게으름과 근심과 시끄러움을 버리고 모든 악을 널리 청정하게 하는 해탈문을 얻었고, 이구광명(離垢光明)주가신은 일체중생의 선근(善根)을 관찰하고 알맞게 설법하여 여러 대중들을 기쁘고 만족하게 하는 해탈문을 얻었다.   The crop spirit Like by All who See :　견자애락(見者愛樂)주가신 abandon　v.버리다. ill n.죄악 sloth n.나태 anxiety n.근심 The crop spirit Pure Light ：이구광명(離垢光明)주가신 the good roots :선근 explain v.설법하다. the truth :법 in appropriate ways :알맞게 joy n.기쁨 fulfillment n.성취 the masses :대중     Crop-ruling Spirit Delighting the Beholder gained a passage into liberation of enabling all beings in the Dharma Realm to renounce laxness, worry, affliction, and other evils, so that they all become pure. Crop-ruling Spirit Immaculate Light gained a passage into liberation of contemplating the good roots of every sentient being and speaking Dharma accordingly, thus gratifying and delighting the entire assembly. <B.T.T.S.번역본>       나, 偈頌讚歎주가신의 찬탄   爾時에 柔軟勝味主稼神이 承佛威力하사普觀一切主稼神衆하고而說頌言하사대   At that time the crop spirit Gentle Superb Flavor, imbued with power from the Buddha, looked over all the crop spirits and said,<Thomas Cleary-번역본>     그때 유연승미(柔軟勝味)주가신이 부처님의 위신력을 받들어 모든 주가신 대중들을 두루 살피고 게송으로 말하였다. At that time :그 때 the crop spirit Gentle Superb Flavor :유연승미(柔軟勝味)주가신,Crop-ruling Spirit Tender and Delectable) imbue with :받들다. power from the Buddha :부처님의 위신력 look over :살피다. all the crop spirits :모든 주가신 대중들   At that time Crop-ruling Spirit Tender and Delectable received the Buddha's awesome spiritual power, universally contemplated the multitudes of Crop-ruling Spirits, and spoke the following verse.<B.T.T.S.번역본>   ①如來無上功德海가普現明燈照世間하사 一切衆生咸救護하야悉與安樂無遺者로다   The Buddha's ocean of unexcelled virtues Manifests a lamp which illumines the world: Saving and protecting all sentient beings, He gives them all peace, not leaving without one.<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   여래의 위없는 공덕바다가 밝은 등(燈)을 나타내어 세간 비추사 일체중생을 다 구호하여 모두에게 안락 주어 빠짐이 없네   ocean of unexcelled virtues :위없는 공덕바다 illumines v.비추다. the world:세간 saving and protecting :구호   The Thus Come One, an unsurpassed ocean of merit and virtue, Appears everywhere as a bright lamp shining upon the world. Rescuing and protecting all sentient beings whatsoever, He bestows peace and joy upon all, omitting not a single one.<B.T.T.S.번역본>   ②世尊功德無有邊하사衆生聞者不唐捐이라 悉使離苦常歡喜케하시니此是時華之所入이로다   The Buddha's virtues are boundless-- No beings hear them in vain-- He causes them to be free from suffering and always happy: This is what Seasonal Flavors enters into. <Thomas Cleary-번역본>   세존의 공덕은 끝이 없으사 중생들이 듣고는 헛되지 않네 모두 고통을 여의고 항상 기쁘게 하시니 이것은 시화주가신이 들어간 바로다   in vain :헛된 suffering n.고통 Seasonal Flavors : 시화주가신   Boundless is the World Honored One's merit and virtue. Those who hear him do not do so in vain. They leave all suffering and feel perpetual joy. Seasonal Blooms understands thus.<B.T.T.S.번역본>   ③善逝諸力皆圓滿하사功德莊嚴現世間하야 一切衆生悉調伏하시니此法勇力能明證이로다   The powers of the Buddha are all complete-- His array of virtues appears in the world And all sentient beings are harmonized: To this fact Courage Power can witness.<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   선서(善逝)의 모든 힘이 다 원만하사 공덕으로 장엄하고 세간에 출현하여 모든 중생을 다 조복하시니 이 법은 용력주가신이 밝게 증득하였네 the Buddha:선서(善逝,the Well-Gone One) complete a.원만한 array of virtues :공덕장엄 are harmonized:조복하다. Courage Power :용력주가신,Robust Strength)   All the powers perfected, the Well-Gone One Appears in the world, adorned with meritorious virtues. All sentient beings are thoroughly tamed and subdued. Robust Strength understands and attains this Dharma.<B.T.T.S.번역본>   ④佛昔修治大悲海하사其心念念等世間이라 是故神通無有邊하시니增益精氣能觀見이로다   The Buddha cultivated an ocean of compassion, His heart always as broad as the whole world; Therefore his spiritual powers are boundless: Increased Vitality can see this.<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   부처님이 옛적에 큰 자비를 닦으사 그 마음 생각생각이 세간과 평등해 그러므로 신통이 그지없으시니 증익정기(增益精氣)주가신이 잘 보았네   cultivate v.닦다. an ocean of compassion :큰 자비 spiritual powers :신통 Increased Vitality :증익정기(增益精氣)주가신   Long ago, the Buddha cultivated an ocean of great compassion. His mind is intent upon each and every being in the world. Thus, his spiritual penetrations know no bounds. None of his expedients are ever used in vain. Hence, all give rise to vast faith and understanding. Adorned Cowl understands and enters thus.<B.T.T.S.번역본>   ⑦如來觀世起慈心하사爲利衆生而出現하야 示彼恬怡最勝道하시니此淨華神之解脫이로다   Buddha, observing the world, conceives kind compassion, Appearing in order to aid sentient beings, Showing them the supreme way of peace and joy: This is the liberation of Pure Flowers<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   여래께서 세상을 보고 자비심을 일으키사 중생을 이익케 하려고 출현하시어 저 화평하고 가장 훌륭한 길을 보이시니 이것은 정화주가신의 해탈이로다   conceives kind compassion :자비심을 일으키다. the supreme way : 훌륭한 길 peace and joy:화평 Pure Flowers : 정화주가신   The Thus Come One, beholding the world, gives rise to compassion. He manifests to benefit sentient beings, Showing them the supreme path of serenity and bliss: Pure Flowers spirit is liberated thus. <B.T.T.S.번역본>   ⑧善逝所修淸淨行을菩提樹下具宣說하사 如是敎化滿十方하시니此妙香神能聽受로다   The pure practices cultivated by Buddha Are fully expounded under the tree of enlightenment, Thus edifying everyone in all quarters: This Wonderful Fragrance can hear.<Thomas Cleary-번역본>   선서(善逝)께서 닦으신 청정한 행을 보리수 아래서 다 연설하사 이와 같은 교화가 시방에 충만하시니 이것은 묘향주가신이 받아 들었네   The pure practices :청정한 행 the tree of enlightenment: 보리수 in all quarters : 시방에 Wonderful Fragrance : 묘향주가신   The pure practices cultivated by the Well-Gone One He fully proclaimed beneath the Bodhi tree. Whatever dispositions and desire―he purifies all. Pure Light : 정광주가신     The Thus Come One, appearing in the many worlds, Ascertains the inclinations of delight in all beings' hearts. Hence, with skillful means he enhances their maturing.
