Section 26 : Won - jeon(圓轉,원전)... Rolling Smoothly... Item 31.
Won - jeon(圓轉,원전) means that sincerity never rests.
It is like a round object rolling by itself on a flat surface.
Even if one wishes to stop it, even if one wishes to slow it down,
it cannot be slowed, and even if one wishes to hasten it,
it cannot be forced to go faster.
It merely follows the direction in which sincerity naturally rolls,
continuing without pause.
[Original Classical Text]
■ 圓轉者는 誠之不息이니 (원전자는 성지불식이니)
Won - jeon is sincerity never resting.
■ 如圓物之自轉於平坦也라 (여원물지자전어평탄야라)
It is like a round object rolling on its own upon a flat ground.
■ 欲止而不得하며 欲緩而不得하며 欲速而又不得하여
(욕지이부득하며 욕완이부득하며 욕소이우부득하여)
If you wish to stop it, you cannot, if you wish to slacken it, you cannot,
if you wish to speed it up, you cannot.
■ 隨體轉向而不息이니라. (수체전향이불식이니라.)
It simply rolls in accordance with sincerity and never pauses.
[Philosophical Commentary]
The shape of Truth(Jin- ri) is always a circle(圓,원),
representing an absolute, unchanging spatiality with no beginning or end in time.
In other words, it is a stste completely devoid of any gaps or chaos.
Making all human endeavors seamless―Without an artificial beginning or end―
and remaining ceaseless is the true way to practice and embody the truth.
『 Won - jeon(圓轉,원전) means that sincerity flows continuously without ever resting.
it is perfectly captured by the image of a spherical object rolling effortlessly on its own
across flat ground.
This movement transcends artifical control :
even if you try to forcefully stop it, slow it down, or rush its pace, you cannot alter it.
It simply adapts and follows the natural trajectory of Sincerity,
Maintaining its perpetual motion.
[Commentary]
Tne ultimate shape of Truth is always a circle(圓,원).
It symbolizes an absolute, immutable realm that knows no beginning or end in time
― a seamless state entirely free of gaps, friction, or chaos.
Therefore, bringing this lack of artificial boundaries into all human actions and
maintaining a state of ceaselessness is the ultimate expression of putting
Truth into practice."
