Deoksan, a journey from hell to paradise
【<Words of Apology> Deoksan, from hell back to paradise
sorry. On October 29th, I was hospitalized for 3 nights and 4 days because my carotid arteries on both sides were almost blocked due to long-
term diabetes. I was told that I would fully recover after receiving the procedure. However, while undergoing the procedure, the contrast agent went into trouble and his kidneys were damaged, so he was taken to the intensive care unit. After struggling, he was finally discharged on November 17th and is now recuperating at home.
There is literally no hell. Paradise is our Deokhwa in full bloom, and the people we want to see are our comrades. I haven't fully recovered yet. We will work harder to repay your kindness to our fellow students. I apologize again. sorry. -Deoksan Joint Hold-】
On a mid-autumn day, Deoksan was fighting to receive the gift of life again. Both carotid arteries were almost blocked due to diabetes, and treatment at the hospital quickly turned into a difficult ordeal. But I didn't lose hope. Even though I was in pain while hospitalized, I had the will to overcome and fought for my life with the dream of a complete recovery.
Something unexpected happened. During the procedure, the contrast medium deviated, causing damage to the kidney, and the ordeal in the intensive care unit began. Despite all the pain and difficulties, I had paradise in my heart. My indomitable spirit and the will to meet my comrades were the strength that helped me escape from hell.
Deoksan was finally discharged and returned home feeling as if he was starting a new life. I am living in a peaceful, paradise-like home, and I have hope for a better future. My heart is still heading towards paradise in full bloom, leaning on the precious meeting with my comrades.
Through his own experience, Deoksan gave us two extremes: the darkness of hell and the light of paradise. Now, I pledge to work harder for the rest of my life to repay my fellow comrades for their gratitude and hard work, and I would like to express my apology for the past.
Deoksan’s ‘journey from hell back to paradise is evidence of courage and hope.’ Despite all the difficulties, I hope that my image of running towards the paradise of the heart will give us strength and help us realize the preciousness of life. How good would it be if we, I, gained courage in my journey and did not lose the courage to overcome hell and open the door to paradise together with Deoksan?
So what are hell and paradise?
Hell and paradise are often used as conceptual locations in religion, philosophy, mythology, literature, etc. These are mainly connected to deep consideration of human behavior, morality, and the meaning of life.
First, let’s learn about hell.
1) It is a religious perspective.
Hell is commonly depicted as a place of punishment or eternal suffering as a result of evil actions. For example, in Christianity, it is thought of as a place where souls who have committed evil deeds receive eternal punishment.
2) It is a literary perspective.
Hell can sometimes be used as a symbol of sin and punishment, darkness and suffering. In literary works, hell is often used metaphorically to represent the inner conflict or pain of a protagonist or character.
Second, we learn about paradise.
1) It is a religious perspective.
Paradise is often depicted as a peaceful place or a reward for souls with good deeds and pure hearts after their departure. Christianity focuses on heaven, Buddhism focuses on a worldview of cause and effect, and Won Buddhism focuses more on reality rather than the afterlife. And in Hinduism, it can be symbolized as Swarga (where the immortal gods live), etc.
2) It is a literary perspective.
Paradise is sometimes used as a symbol of happiness, rest, and beauty. The appearance of paradise as a character's final goal or place of hope is a common theme.
These concepts may have different interpretations depending on culture and religion, and are often used as symbolic elements representing spiritual reflections on human life and death.
How is it? My <Deoksan, Journey from Hell to Paradise> was a good opportunity for me to grapple with the serious question of what the crossroads between life and death are like. Studying life and death is no different. Wouldn't it be best to actually face life and death!
