The finger-thick creeping rootstock produces a reddish, branching stem, which grows from 1 to 3 feet high and bears opposite ovate, pointed leaves whose bases clasp the stem. Flat-topped corymbed clusters of pink sometimes white or purple flowers bloom from June to August.</p><p>4 효능</p><p>- 담즙촉진제, 이뇨제, 거담제, 하제</p><p>. 호흡개선을 위한 거담제로 주로 이용</p><p>- 외용; 통풍, 피부염, 가려움증, 종기, 종양세척과 찜질</p><p>. 약한 정화작용</p><p>Cholagogue, diuretic, expectorant, purgative. A decoction of the rootstock is used most commonly as an expectorant for respiratory conngestion. It has also been used for gout and externally as a wash or fomentation for dermatitis, itching skin, furuncles, and tumors. Soapwort has mild purgative action.</p><p>5 사용법</p><p>- 다리기; 물1컵에 1-2스푼</p><p>. 한번에 1스푼씩 음용</p><p>Decoction; Boil 1 to 2 tbsp. dried rootstock in 1 cup water. Take 1 tbsp. at a time.</p>
