Ephesians 5:15-21
Verse 15: "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,"
The life of a believer should not be complicated.
If you do, you will fall into ignorance.
It becomes a habit to do things on your own and you lose your connection with the life of God.
If you do, you will fall into the slumber of faith.
You will become like the dead.
It is ordained that if a man is wise in life, he will become foolish toward God.
You must carefully consider and be mindful of the inheritance God has given you in Christ.
That's why the Bible tells us to be wise men.
Therefore, Christians must always keep their hearts pure, like a well-ordered intersection, following the grace of the Lord's redemption.
Verse 16: "Redeeming the time, , because the days are evil."
Therefore, it urge us to carefully consider who has what, and if they possess the truth, don't miss the opportunity.
The word "reception" means to catch something quickly, like catching a cockroach.
Like Mary, Zacchaeus, and the Syrophoenician woman, we must seize it as if there were no second chance.
Redeeming the time means buying the opportunity.
Now is the opportunity to receive Christ, realize the truth in him, be holiness, be glorified in holiness, and approach God the Father.
That's why Isaiah 55 says, "Come and buy."
Whatever you buy with faith in Christ becomes yours.
Matthew 7:12 also says the same thing.
This verse requires some explanation, but asking, seeking, and knocking are the proper attitudes to treat God, who wants to give us the Holy Spirit.
In the old days, every five days market was held in the countryside.
So, they had to go out and buy what they needed on market days.
Likewise, we must not miss the opportunity to buy the truth.
We must not miss opportunities to meet the Lord.
Because (Hoti) "the days are evil."
However, we must be thankful for the opportunity and cherish the years of our lives.
The devil unconditionally encourages anything but holding on to the truth.
The devil urges us to build buildings, attend worship services, pray, evangelize, and even serve in missions.
However, the moment we seek to know the truth, the devil puts up all kinds of obstacles.
That path leads to the tree of life, so the devil blocks it and diverts our attention elsewhere..
Verse 17: "Wherefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."
A fool is someone who has a head but no thought.
In short, they are foolish.
Therefore, the Bible tells us to only understand the Lord's will.
This verse means to meet each other, which means to seize the buying opportunities.
The most precious things are always with us.
For example, air, water, etc.
The truth of Christ must also be purchased while it is near.
We must meet because he is life.
Proverbs 3:18 says that wisdom (Christ) is a tree of life to those who embrace it, and a blessing to those who hold it.
Verse 18: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit."
Drunkenness is exceed, a wasteful and destructive.
A half-baked movement of the Holy Spirit is no different from a drunkard.
Often, after a long journey in the wilderness, people come to understandof the word of truth through suffering.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit means being filled in the Holy Spirit and the fullness overflow outward.
In the Acts of the Apostles, the work of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost was a sign that all people could see, as the Holy Spirit descended upon them.
However, the fullness of Ephesus was finally revealed to the outside world when those who knew the mystery of Christ denied themselves in Christ and longed for him, through the Holy Spiri working within them.
This is the light and the fruit.
Verse 19: "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
These are the results of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
It's not about talking like drunken people, but about sharing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with one another. This is the image of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
This is the life of heaven.
Things like these must be working in your heart.
Sing and praise with a sincere heart toward the Lord.
We must be able to praise and bless the Lord immediately.
It should come out right away without any hesitation.
Praise is the result of a life of faith in truth.
It is a spiritual principle that when you win, praise comes out.
Verse 20: "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Always give thanks.
He urge us to give thanks to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Just as turning on the electric switch in a factory causes all the machines to operate, turning on the spiritual switch in truth allows the glory of grace bestowed in Christ to pour into our hearts, and we follow the path of faith that leads us to the throne of God's grace through truth, following that grace.
Therefore, it is a spiritual blessing to know the mystery of the church, where the Lord, who is above all things, fills his body and members in all.
Verse 21: "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."
Submit to one another in the fear of God.
This means valuing others in the fear of Christ.
People may appear insignificant, but they can be remarkable individuals who place Christ at their heart and cry out to God in his name. Therefore, we must examine people's hearts, not their outward appearances.
This age is similar to the situation of Ichabod, when Eli died and the Ark of the Covenant was captured.
Ichabod means that the glory of God has leaved from them.
They claim to believe in Jesus, but they lack the spirit of wisdom, because "the word of faith combined with repentance and baptism," which allows the Spirit of truth to come into us and lead us to believe in Jesus as Lord and Christ, is not preached.
This is a problem with the gospel.
In Romans, we must clearly explain why we must be saved, how we are saved, and what the results of salvation are.
In Ephesians, we must explain where and to what extent God has placed us and called us there. We must constantly preach the gospel of truth, the gospel of salvation, whether they hear it or not, so that we may know the glory of his grace.
Since it is only natural that unregenerate humans fail to understand the word of truth, the servants of the Lord who testify to the truth of Christ know well that those born of God, chosen in Christ, predestined as sons of God and destined to become the praise of glory, attain holiness according to the truth, and behold, rejoice, and praise that glory.
